From 13 to 15 June 2026, the city of Genoa hosted the 35th World Convention of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIE), the leading annual event of the global CCIE network, bringing together more than 200 delegates and 86 Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad from 64 countries. The Convention represented a key strategic forum to strengthen the international presence of Italian companies, promote Made in Italy excellence, and create new opportunities for the growth of Italy’s economic system.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Sweden took part in the Convention with President Dimitrij Titov, Vice President Francesco Radano, and Secretary General Giovanni Brandimarti, participating in institutional meetings, working groups, and sessions focused on the future of Italian internationalization.
The Convention welcomed numerous high-profile institutional representatives from Italy’s economic and political landscape, highlighting the strategic importance of the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad for the country’s competitiveness. Among the distinguished speakers were Andrea Prete, President of Unioncamere, Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and Silvia Salis, Mayor of Genoa, together with numerous representatives from institutions, the chamber system, and the Italian and international business communities.
The figures highlight Italy’s economic strength: in 2025, Italian exports reached a record value of €643 billion, confirming their role as one of the main drivers of the country’s economic growth. The target set by the Government and Italy’s internationalization system is now to achieve €700 billion in exports by 2027—an ambitious goal that requires even closer cooperation among institutions, businesses, and the global chamber network.
