Tropical, humid air, lush greenery and the sounds of the Amazon wrap you in a state of calm — slowing down the world outside the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

The conservatory is a historic greenhouse and botanical garden that opened in 1879, featuring rare and exotic tropical plants, including orchids, carnivorous plants, and giant water lilies. As the oldest building in the park, it’s a National Historic Landmark known for its Victorian architecture and is part of the larger „Gardens of Golden Gate Park“ complex, which also includes the Japanese Tea Garden and the San Francisco Botanical Garden.
