A little reminder for my 2026/2027 couples: Break in those shoes! (Yes - both of you if you’ve gotten new ones). You want to be in the moment, not focusing on blisters.

Many of my couples has asked me this lately, and it is a game changer. Wear them around the house, dance in the kitchen—just get them ready for the best day ever. And if they’re not super delicate, even take them out on a cocktail!

However, did I heed my own advice? Nope! So here are my top 3 advice if you are anything like me:
✨ Leather spray! If you have leather shoes this helps them get comfy faster.
✨ Wear damp socks - helps stretch the material.
✨ Blister plasters! (Is that even a word?)
✨ Don’t worry - I danced the night & morning away and barely noticed until the day after when I finally remembered the plasters I had packed!

When your sister sew your wedding dress and is there for the final touches ✨❤️🔥 such a special thing to walk down the isle wearing a dress that came to life between you and your sister. Anyone else sewing/designing their own wedding dress? 🥹

Wedding cake cutting - is it a must?
I had a meeting yesterday with one of my lovely wedding couples for 2026. One of the things we talked about is the cake cutting. Is it still a thing? Is it a must? When and where? And the true answer (even though I know that in a sea of decisions it’s not always what you want to hear planning your wedding)is that you can do whatever you want!

Cake at the cocktail hour, cake for desert, cake without the cutting, no cake at all, ice cream cake, candy cake, fake cake just to have the cutting or even cutting the cake with a sword (yes, it’s happened twice!)

One of my favorite things (& maybe the greatest review ever?) is when I get to shoot my couple’s friend & family’s weddings! The other week, Thors cousin and his fiancée reached out, asking me to photograph their big day 🥹

Not only do I get to photograph in what I dare say will be the most unique church I will ever photograph in my life - the church in the Swedish Royal castle in Sthlm (which is not open to anyone to get married in), but more importantly I get to hang out with these amazing couples again ❤️ S&B - I can’t wait!

When you get to photograph your best friends wedding ❤️ and be a bridesmaid 💛 that is both a glorious and stressful day 😝 I love looking back on my couples wedding days and this one always makes my heart tick a little extra ✨
