when I was at uni I would set up little DIY home studios in my bedroom. this was my first one!! feb 2018. I would go to the haberdashery store on my street and buy metres of different fabrics to pin up onto my wall as backdrops, inviting friends and other students over for test shoots. this song was one of my most played songs of 2018, it’s the one that reminds me the most of evenings in that bedroom editing all these pictures ~ ✨nostalgia ✨

I’m reminiscing these days of creative freedom, while I’m researching courses for future studying today. reminding myself to get back to this.. experimental creativity, and collaboration. I still have all the fabrics waiting for me to use them again 👀📸

If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention. Ignorance is a privilege. Stay informed. Get angry. Burn it all to the ground.

It’s a lot to keep up with right now that I can barely think about anything else. Sometimes I don’t know where to put my rage, so I made some protest art, adding text to my collaborative photo/collage with .xv

Remember to take care of yourselves too, friends. But don’t stop speaking up! Don’t stop seeking justice, for ALL the atrocities on this earth ⚖️

Figured it was about time I started posting my shoots from 2025?! 📸

This was a super fun evening photographing last March at . A mix of backstage portraits of , and before the show and live shots.

This was soooooo much fun - it is just so cool to love a band’s music and then get the opportunity to photograph them. Teenage me with her bedroom covered in kerrang! magazine band posters would be so proud (and jealous) of future me, honestly!!

Life goals: photograph ALL of my favourite musicians. ✨

2016 called… how could I not jump on the trend of one of my most memorable years? and create the most “this is giving 2016” collage overlay carousel you’ve ever seen?

All but one of these pictures are from my North America trip, from Jan-April 2016. I travelled across the ocean by myself, my sole purpose was creating and connecting with people. 21 years old.

I was met at LAX by my beautiful friend (who I had met in 2015 in Berlin) and we spent the next 3 weeks travelling around LA, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle together. From there I ventured up to Canada to meet other friends and spent time in Vancouver and Victoria island. The next stop was Chicago, where my path crossed with . We were already FB friends, but I saw she was going on tour so I sent her a message, and at 6am one cold icy morning she knocked on my apartment door with her whole band.. I joined them on tour to Nashville, Austin, and New Orleans. The trip was supposed to be 2 months long but a few days before my return flight I decided to extend my stay for another month and continued my travels, revisiting places and friends I had met on the trip, exploring more of the PNW and ending in NYC.

I also did my university interviews over video call while in America, and on my return to the UK I visited Scotland and Cornwall to decide which to enrol with. It was a tough decision but I picked Cornwall!

The rest of the year until September I enjoyed my last months in Brighton, spending the summer on the beach, going to London pride, Brighton pride, doing more last minute photoshoots before making my move to Cornwall to study Fashion Photography at Falmouth University. The first term of uni was all about studio photography. Something completely new to me. I did not expect it to shape my entire degree and photographic style going forward.

I’ve grown a lot over the last 10 years but part of me wants to get back to this carefree, adventurous, 21 year old version of me, even if she was a bit cringe and a stereotypical 2016 wannabe insta tumblr travel photographer.

✦ 𝔇𝔢𝔠𝔢𝔪𝔟𝔢𝔯 𝔇𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥 ✦

This series was intended to represent the underworld. Purgatory. Limbo. The land between realms. But I also see it as grief. Mourning. A dark world in the subconscious. Foggy. Murky. Isolated. Silent, suffering. A place of blurred memories. A place of dreams and fantasies. Illusions in the unconscious. Holograms, shadows, figments. What does grief feel like? A lightning bolt that strikes out of nowhere. A void, an abyss, a deserted wasteland.

This December has been so dark. For half of the month there was only 30 minutes of sunlight, the darkest December in years. I have been feeling so heavy, carrying my grief, rarely seeing daylight, and exhausted from the capitalist society we live in that forces us to be at 1000% instead of hibernating like we should be this time of year. But the winter solstice is finally here, and the days will get longer and lighter again. ✷

It might be November now but I’m still in spooky season mode!! The orange leaves and pumpkins always bring me back to this shoot with ! We shot this way back in 2019 before I moved to Stockholm, when I was considering making the move to Sweden and wanted to connect with creatives here. I’m still obsessed with these photos! It’s giving Lucy in Bram Stoker’s Dracula vibes 🩸🍁
