Quite an eventful evening this past Saturday. 😂👍

Having taken a rest from shows at Plan B, I was brought back to the fold with the promise of an entertaining evening and the chance to finally work with Golvad Grövling. Support came from my favourite Danish punk band, USERS, so it was inevitable that this was going to be a special evening.

Not really much I can say. I'll just let the pictures do the talking and just a reminder when I think I could slow down on the concerts, that this seems almost impossible while I'm still mobile.

Guess I'll just keep on going! 😂😂🙌🤜🤛

Brilliant from the team at Soho Restaurant, Malmö being featured in 'White Guide Sverige'.

Proud to have provided food, drink and atmosphere images for the restaurant ever since they got in contact with me during the pandemic and great to see them in use across reputable restaurant guides such as this.

Last week I joined the team from ATEA in Stockholm at their annual 'ATEA Sustainability Forum' held at the historical boutique hotel and house of entertainment, Berns.

Having just touched down a couple of days prior from San Francisco, I had to wrestle with my jetlag and get myself in shape to go out and capture a full day of talks, sessions and side events which went as successfully as I had hoped for.

Not for the first time in the past couple of years, I was hired to capture both images from the event and a highlight video, which of course brought its challenges. One arm holding a camera, the other a camera and gimbal mixed with multiple lens and battery changes throughout the day certainly kept me on my toes!

It's something that I've been asked to do a lot more of this past year or so and it's definitely becoming a lot easier through thorough planning and knowing my equipment better.

Having worked with ATEA over the past few years at their IT Arena conferences has been a brilliant experience, so it was great to work with them again at a different type of event and in a new location. I just tried to use the entire space of the room(s) and capture a lot of different angles and variety of shots.

Here's a look back at some of the highlights from the fantastic day and I look forward to joining them again this Autumn just outside of Stockholm.

A big shout out to Lo**ta Opwapo on a successful event and our first time working together! :)

GDC San Francisco is over for another year and this has to have been my favourite one so far!

Working on behalf of Xsolla at one of the world's largest B2B gaming conferences, the schedule was set for a busy and exciting experience once more as I embarked on my third straight event with the company and probably the most challenging yet.

With a wide range of events, speaking sessions and moments to capture branding around the city, the week got off to the best start with a ton of sleep in the days prior to my starting day and some fantastic Californian sunshine, which followed me throughout the week I was there.

There's something about the weather that just puts everyone in a great mood and one of the reasons this was probably my favourite GDC so far, was that it put me in a brilliant mood every day and having a great team of staff to work amongst makes GDC an absolute highlight of the year for me.

I go out as a lone photographer, often moving from one event to the next on an hourly basis, but if you know me, you'll know I love to be busy and every task came with it's new challenge or something interesting to capture.

These events test your creativity and for me, I always strive to capture new angles or moments with new enthusiasm and desire to not repeat the same images from previous events. Try something new where possible to keep things fresh.

I'm a sucker for having a great workflow during events, so the challenge was always to take photos, race to my computer, download and edit... then move on to the next job. Keeping this flow and remembering to eat is why I was able to pack in as much as possible during the day without feeling any sense of anxiety and just the feeling of pure adreneline and excitement. I'm in San francisco after all, what's to complain about? :)

So yeah, there you go. That's pretty much my week in San francisco. I mean, throw into the fold a visit to Oracle Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, the odd 9pm whirlpool bath at my hotel, a 3-hour stroll along the embarcardero, a chinese new year parade and countless fun chats with locals and participants and I have myself the best work trip to San Francisco yet... let's see if I get the chance to better it someday :)

A massive thank you to Elspeth Lawson for having me back again and Sally Kevan for guiding me through the speaking sessions. Gabby, for keeping me on my toes with updates about the events and where to be next, but finally, all of the Xsolla team at GDC (too many to mention) that kept me smiling all week and made me feel proud to work for such a fantastic company and remind me why I love being a photographer so much.

Here's a pick of some photos from the event.

Shouldn't have left the house in my feverish condition last night to be honest, but couldn't resist the effort in order to capture British indie band, The Kooks with support from 'Girl In The Year Above'.

Here's a few of my snaps from the show before I bolted for the nearest exit and the comfort of my bed. Shame, always liked the band and wish I could've stayed. 😞👍

It's been difficult getting my head around posting, or even using SoMe this past month. As a business, it's crucial to keep yourself out there, posting current content and engaging with your network but personally, I just have a hard time enjoying SoMe the same way as I did before.

I'm gunna give it my best shot this year and see if there are ways to make it interesting for me but also the audience, but it might take a bit of time.

In the meantime, here's a look back at some of my shots from the Novo Nordisk conference at Falkenberg Strandbad a couple of weeks ago.

Spending 3 days on location at an unbelievable spa and resort, working with some of the best event team staff for a top client, gives me a great sense of pride and joy of which reminds me why it is sometimes great to share some of the moments I get to enjoy but also offer an insight into the work I do.

Creating a catalogue of images and shooting a video over the course of the 3 days, kept me extremely busy but it's also brilliant being in such lovely surroundings and working with people that trust and believe in your work.

With plenty on the horizon and another packed schedule ahead, this was certainly a great start to the year for my conference and event work.

A massive shout out to everyone at Perfect Event and Novo Nordisk for their enthusiasm and direction during the event.

I look forward to the next and hopefully with some great reason to make posts on SoMe :)

The end of 2025 and a look back at some of the brilliant moments that have shaped my life as a professional photographer over the past year.

My concert photography work has been one of the best years to date and although I wanted to slow down on this side of my business, it's been the opposite.

Working as the festival photographer for NGBG (Malmö) and Hämpafestivalen brought so many special moments and my in house photography work for Plan B Malmö, Poolen and Pumpehuset (both Copenhagen) extended my work to different countries and a massive shout out to Gonzales Photo of whom I have had the pleasure of representing at many concerts and events this past year.

I also worked more than ever this year directly with bands, artists and record labels and picked up two GAFFA Music Awards (1st in Feature Sweden & 3rd in Feature Denmark) as well as a nomination for 'Visual Wonder Of The Year' at the DAMA's (find out the result in February 2026). Always nice to be recognised for the long days or late nights that go into concert photography.

My music magazine, CLANG Magazine, continues to build a strong audience and have loved the work returned from our team of writers and photographers this year. Check out the magazine when you get the chance :)

Event work this year has seen me travel to new cities (Bordeaux, Vienna, Wroclaw) as well as returning to Cologne and San Francisco with the amazing team from Xsolla. I'll be joining them again this coming March in San Francisco, working for a client that I love capturing brilliant content for but also working alongside some of the hardest working people in the gaming industry.

A special mention to the team from Oredev (Hanna & Maisa) and all the volunteers, as this year's event was one of the best yet and again was another highlight of my year!

My sports photography work has seen me work at various athletics and handball events. The wettest Copenhagen half marathon of my career brought new challenges and there have been high adrenaline moments I can't put into words but look out 2026 as there have been early discussions about some new events I will be working with next year which are very exciting.

And lastly, weddings, portraits and other photography this past year. Although I have taken on less of these jobs this years due to my extra event work, I have still enjoyed every moment capturing these emotional moments and look forward to more opportunities next year.

So, that's about it. Too many moments to share in one post but some big thank you's to every one that has been a part of my photography life this past year including Perfect Event, Matthew James harrison, Jonas Persson (my Malmö photo twin), all the staff at Plan B Malmö, Cenk from Pecha Kucha and many, many more!!

Your support has been amazing!

Last night was pretty damn nice. Always makes me slightly happy when I get to shoot a band that covers everything I look for in a band to make me and my cameras excited!

Boko Yout played to a packed Plan B Malmö last night and I was there, in the pit, in the crowd and by the window when generally crazy stuff happened.

Here's a look back at some of the memorable moments from what can only be described as, one hell of a show! 😀🥳🔥🔥

GAFFA Music Photo Awards 2025 and the winner of best 'Feature' Sweden, is... me! 😀🎉

I had the privilege of finding out that I have won two awards across two countries within the GAFFA music magazine family.

I travelled to Roskilde, Denmark, last Thursday for an evening with some of the biggest names in concert photography in the nordic countries to find out if any of my entries this year had made the cut and importantly, taken home any of the titles.

Concert photography is a massive part of my photography life and business and to be recognized with an award from the nordics largest music editorial, is something quite special to add to the collection.

In Sweden, I was given 1st place in the 'feature' category, for my series of images taken at Hämpafestivalen earlier this summer. A series of 10 pictures taken from a concert or event, it has long been a wish of mine to win this award and to my surprise, it happened.

In Denmark, I was awarded 3rd place in the same 'Feature' category, for a series of images taken of Danish punk band, USERS, performing a concert from a wrestling ring in the streets of Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

It's nice to be recognised for some hard work that goes into concert photography. The time away from family, the editing late at night and the sweat and tears that go into capturing moments you hope others will enjoy.

It's also nice just to find out other people enjoy your work in what has been a massive part of my photography journey over the past 8 years.

Unfortunately, my feature that was printed in the latest edition of the GAFFA Sweden magazine alongside the other winners, incorrectly showed the wrong name, so you'll just have to take my word for it that it was in fact me that won the award, but hey ho... these technical things happen!

Here's a look back at some of the images from my series and a very purple looking Joe in front of the winning feature at the award show.

Thank you to all the people that voted for me in the public vote, the judges, sponsors and most importantly... my family! :)

Keep following my work and if you are looking for an award winning photographer to document your next event, wedding etc... then my credentials above will hopefully give you some incentive to get in contact with me. 😂 👍

P.S. I offered one public voter the chance to donate any award prize I might win to a local charity. I think there is something on the way, so I will let the lucky person(s) know in due course how they can claim the prize from me and make the donation. :)

Zara Larsson performed a brilliant pop set at Malmö Arena last night and I took a trip down to cover the show with a couple of cameras and a mirror.

I'm a big fan of covering pop shows at arenas, mainly because they always have brilliant lights and/or a great stage show.

This was no exception! Zara Larsson is probably the best female solo pop singer at the moment... and Swedish (extra points).

Here's a look at some of the shots I took for CLANG Magazine last night and some proper audience fun from start to finish. 😀👍
