Did you know that you can get married at Kronborg Castle in Helsingør? 🏰
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple at Kronborg Castle in Helsingør - one of Denmark’s most iconic castles and the setting that inspired Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
With its historic architecture, dramatic surroundings, and timeless atmosphere, Kronborg is a dream backdrop for unforgettable wedding portraits!

Kronborg is one of the few real castles so strongly associated with a literary character that many people immediately think of Hamlet when they see it. Every summer, Hamlet is performed at the castle, and over the years actors such as Laurence Olivier, Jude Law, and Kenneth Branagh have been involved in productions of the play.
That’s what makes Kronborg such a remarkable location for wedding photography: not only do you have a fairytale castle by the sea, but also a place forever linked to one of Shakespeare’s most famous stories of love, loss, and tragedy❤️ And there’s a touch of irony to it all: while Hamlet is a tragedy and Romeo and Juliet ends in heartbreak, the couples photographed here hopefully get their happily ever after. 😊

What a day! ☀️ Sunshine from a clear blue sky in beautiful, beautiful Helsingør and an intimate elopement with the wonderful Jenny & Matt as the icing on the cake!
We had so much fun, and managed to capture so many beautiful moments throughout the charming old streets, by the harbour, and at the stunning Kronborg Castle. I absolutely love this picturesque little coastal town, and I completely understand why so many couples travel from far away to get married here.
A huge congratulations to the loveliest newlyweds! Thank you for letting me be part of such a magical day together with your family and friends.
Now it’s time to give my feet a well-deserved rest — because walking on cobblestone streets all day is definitely a workout in itself! 😅

PS. honestly, is there anything better than a proper full-on belly laugh? 😉❤️

Still trying to process this incredible wedding weekend 🥹✨
From the very first meeting over a year ago, I knew Diana & David were something special - and honestly one of the kindest couples I have ever met 🤍 And wow… what a wedding they created ✨
Over 16 hours of photographing, three stunning locations - Maryhill Estate, Sofiero Palace and Spegelsalen.
After such a long wedding day, you’d think I would be exhausted… but instead I woke up yesterday feeling ridiculously fresh (I guess all that strength training this spring has finally paid off 💪😂) and just so incredibly happy that everything came together so beautifully for them!
And Sofiero… WOW. The gardens looked absolutely unreal. Because of the NATO meeting, everything was in absolute perfection mode - perfectly trimmed lawns (seriously, almost nail-scissor level 😂), extra flower installations everywhere, and the timing with the rhododendron blooming could not have been more perfect 🌸 And with Diana’s stunning corseted gown, the whole day had the softest little Bridgerton vibe ✨
After the ceremony, they had their mingling at the wine house with Nordic-style canapés inspired by the recent NATO dinner at Sofiero - delicious! And the weather? Absolute dream conditions for photography - soft sun, shadows, clouds drifting in and out, cool little breezes and no melting in 30-degree heat 😅
To Diana & David and your amazing group of family and friends - THANK YOU for letting us be part of such a beautiful day 🫶
And ohhhh… I have SO much beautiful stuff to show from this wedding, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for the rest 😍

A beautiful spring bouquet 🌸✨ Pastel dream perfection. I absolutely love bouquets that are all about the flowers themselves - soft, airy and without too much greenery.
Speaking of dreamy… today I went scouting photo locations for tomorrow’s wedding and OMG, it looks SO incredibly beautiful there right now! 😍 You can really tell the park has been taken care of down to the smallest detail because of the very special visitors these days.
So happy for my lovely couple tomorrow - they’re going to have the most beautiful backdrop ever 💐☀️

On May 21–22, Helsingborg is hosting Sweden’s first NATO meeting since the country joined NATO. Those of us who live here have, over the past few weeks, noticed how the city has changed as preparations have taken shape - lots of police officers, which honestly mostly feels reassuring, drones and helicopters in the sky, roadblocks, and police es**rt exercises passing through town. At the same time, our already beautiful city has been decorated even more beautifully for the meeting and the unusual international attention now directed toward it 🌸
For many people, the meeting brings both pride and questions: pride that our city is hosting such an important international gathering, but also thoughts about security and how such a major event will affect the city and those of us living here. At the same time, it puts Helsingborg on the map and shows that even our city can play a role in larger international contexts.
Now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly and that these days are marked by calm, respect, and safety - without any idiots trying to ruin things. Hopefully, this will be a meeting that people in Helsingborg remember with pride. And I also hope they’ll have an absolutely wonderful dinner at Sofiero Palace tonight!!! ☺️
Here’s a photo from a beautiful elopement wedding in Helsingborg this winter! Imagine having this kind of golden hour and summer feeling on December 27th! One of the perks of winter weddings here in Skåne is that we get golden hour already at 3.00 PM - absolutely perfect! ✨🌅

Bangaranga!! Bulgaria yesterday at Eurovision — what a surprise! ✨
Crazy, different, unexpected… and honestly, I loved it. The singer was amazing, and it made me want to dance like crazy 😄
And thanks to — whose wonderfully sharp comments are honestly half the show for me 😂 — I also learned about the Bulgarian Kukeri tradition: an ancient ritual with elaborate masks, bells and intense dancing to scare away evil spirits and welcome something new. Wild, chaotic and hypnotic ✨
I also wrote in my notes that the choreographer must have been completely insane haha — and then it turned out the choreographer and dancers were Swedish 😂🇸🇪
So maybe next spring we’re heading to Bulgaria and Sofia for Way Up North? I can already imagine what a beautiful city it must be for wedding photography!
