So this happened this morning! 🥹💍✨
After weeks of planning, the secret was finally out! Jerry and I have been planning this moment for weeks, and today it finally became a reality. He got down on one knee on the beautiful terrace steps in Helsingborg and asked Alexandra the question… and she said YES! 🤍
Afterwards, we went for coffee at Fahlmans to simply sit, breathe and take in what had just happened — before heading off to Sofiero to capture some beautiful moments of the newly engaged couple. ✨
And the sweetest part? They had travelled all the way from the US to Sweden for this special chapter. 🇺🇸🇸🇪
Congratulations, beautiful you two! Thank you for trusting me with such an incredibly special moment, and for a few truly magical hours together. It was an absolute joy to be there and witness this beautiful beginning. 🥂💍🤍

What a summer it has been! ☀️☀️☀️
So many beautiful weddings, both big and small, and honestly, I’ve been incredibly busy. But I’ve also tried to make time to actually enjoy the summer. Because time is precious. That’s something you learn with age – and somehow it becomes clearer every year 🤍

One of the weddings I photographed this summer was on August 15th – which also happens to be my own wedding anniversary! 😂 So yes, I was actually working as a wedding photographer on my own wedding day, but my husband was away in Seoul anyway 😂
Next year, though, for our Pearl Anniversary, we’re celebrating properly! Because life is meant to be celebrated, right? 🥂🎉

And what better way to spend a wedding anniversary than photographing another beautiful wedding? Eva & Daniel got married in the heart of my beloved Kullabygden, with a beautiful ceremony on the terrace at Grand Hotel Mölle. And they even had ”Älska mig” playing during the ceremony, just like we did at our wedding in Copenhagen 29 years ago. I can tell you, the goosebumps were real! 🥹🤍
And the love and passion between these two… 🔥 What a joy to witness and capture!
Just like they did on their beautiful day, I think we should celebrate life whenever we get the chance. Thank you dearest, for trusting me and welcoming us with open arms on such an important day 🤍 Sending you a big sunbeam hug from this magical evening, in the most beautiful light of all ☀️✨

We had already photographed the sunset by the sea and were on our way back when I spotted this wonderfully crooked tree. I immediately knew I had to stop them here, right in the last soft rays of sunlight✨

There was something almost magical about the scene - a little bit of a John Bauer fairytale feeling. Who would have thought we could find that right here in the Stockholm archipelago?

WHY AM I WRITING THIS?
Because I think we need to talk about this more.
This year, I’ve heard from more couples than ever who have been disappointed with their wedding photography – and couples who have been left without a photographer just days before their wedding.
Something needs to change.
This is not about saying that expensive photographers are better or that hobby photographers are bad. It’s about educating couples so they understand what they are actually booking – and what to look for.
A wedding cannot be repeated. The moments are once-in-a-lifetime.
As an industry, I think we need to start fighting this problem together.
Let’s raise awareness, educate couples and help them make informed choices. 🤍

Josefine & Kaan got married in Båstad in July!
Living in London, this Swedish bride and her Turkish-born groom brought their families and friends together in Båstad for a beautiful summer celebration - a cozy garden wedding at her family’s summer house! 🇸🇪🇹🇷
The weather was definitely unpredictable, but it didn’t kill the mood or happiness, not even for a second! They embraced the day, laughed, enjoyed themselves and didn’t let the little things that inevitably happen on a wedding day steal their joy.
But oh, how difficult it has been choosing images for this post! There is SO much more I want to show you. And I haven’t even received my second shooter’s photos yet, so there are still so many beautiful moments waiting to be discovered. I can’t wait to see everything and put the whole story together for them.
You two were such a joy to photograph. Thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful day. I feel incredibly lucky to have been there. (Much) More to come…! 😍

Well… this is pretty amazing 🥹
Three categories entered.
Three finalist spots 🤍🤍🤍

I’ve made it to the finals in all three categories I entered in this year’s SM Fotografi (Swedish Photography Championships) – something I honestly didn’t expect. One of them, Classic Wedding, also usually has the highest number of entries, which makes this extra special.
I’m so grateful to be among so many talented photographers. And yes, I’m also allowing myself to feel a little proud. 🤍

Tomorrow it’s back to work with a wedding, but somewhere along the way me and my collegues definitely need to find a day to celebrate and raise a glass to this 🥂✨ I’m already looking forward to that!

The final results will be announced at the SM event in Gothenburg, October 1–3, with the Printfinal, awards ceremony and gala dinner. 🍾✨ Want to read more about the competition? Here’s the link:
