The European Bison, (or Wisent), is slightly smaller than its American relative, but still quite impressive. Especially up close.
This picture is sadly not taken in the wild, but in an enclosure in Avesta. It is well worth a visit.

Visenten, europeisk Bison, är lite mindre än sin mer kända amerikanska släkting men nog så imponerande, speciellt på nära håll. Vikt på över 900 kg har dokumenterats.
Bilden är tagen i Avestas Visentpark, som är väl värd ett besök.

Some meetings leave you with a warm feeling within. The coal tit is such a charming little bird.

Vissa möten lämnar efter sig en varm känsla en lång tid efteråt. Det är en härlig upplevelse att ha 9 gram svartmes i handen.
