You don’t have to be a birder to be blown away by this.

Visiting Hornborgasjön during the crane migration is just fantastic!

Thousands of cranes, all together, calling, moving, filling the air with sound.
It’s loud, chaotic, alive… and absolutely unforgettable.

Even if birds aren’t “your thing”, this is one of those natural events that leaves you standing there in silence afterwards, just taking it all in.

This is something you really don’t want to miss.

Where & when to see it:
📍 Hornborgasjön, Sweden (at the viewing area Trandansen)
🗓️ Best time: mid-March to early April
⏰ Go early morning or late afternoon for the most activity

Dress warm, bring binoculars if you have them, and most importantly: take your time.

Have you ever witnessed a wildlife event like this?

Everyone called moving to Sweden brave.
But it never felt like a leap to me.

It felt natural, like stepping into a rhythm I had been missing for a long time.

Watching the seasons change here reminds me how fast time moves.
We’ve been living here for a year and a half already, and sometimes it still surprises me how quickly it all passes.

Of course I miss my friends and family.
Distance is never easy, especially the small things you don’t realise you’ll miss.

But the quiet forests, the open space, the endless views…
They offer a calm I keep reminding myself not to take for granted.

Some choices don’t feel brave.
They feel right.

This walk changed the way I see winter.
These moments were captured in Fulufjället National Park in the heart of winter. It was around –20°C, but somehow it felt like the perfect place to slow down, breathe deeper and simply enjoy what was around us.

Cold air, soft light, quiet paths. Winter has a way of calming the noise if you let it.

Chasing soft mornings.
Unrushed walks.
Warm light.
new friends we met along the way and Good food after a long day outside.

This is what life is about.

Would you walk here with me?
