My name is Balvinder Singh Virdi, I live in London and I am a professional Wedding and Portrait Photographer. I picked up my first professional camera, back when my loving Nan told me “let your smile

change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile.”

Photography then became like the roads we constantly walk in life, the moments that we cannot anticipate, constantly watching for every turn, and ready to welcome the unexpected. – this philosophy rendered into my artform. My art-form represents a combination of:

Classic - similar to the photos in your grandparents wedding albums, and usually stand the test of time. These photos reflect reality, infused with astonishment, elegance and a bit of ceremony, artworks to arouse emotions. It’s my job, to turn your ordinary, into beautiful. Documentary - usually a client’s favourite, as these are not posed or styled photos, but more candid or spontaneous pictures of people, décor and action – in the moment. I hone in on areas that capture the magic and make everything look its best, then look to capture something real from the couple – laughter, holding hands, intimate eye contact. These also create the most interactions with everybody and the trade of is better moments captured. Lifestyle - this is more like documentary but with some direction and styling. Yet it has a relaxed and approachable feel, and most couples find these their chosen style, creating natural editorial photos. Its admiring someone else’s beauty, without questioning your own. Just a reminder: You matter, You’re important. You’re loved. And your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you see it or not. And it’s my job to capture noteworthy moments in your meaningful life and help you share these with people who mean the most to you. This makes me coming back and drives me to pick up my camera again, and again even when I fail and need to reconnect again with the passion I cannot let go. What makes me stand out from every other Photographer, is my discipline, passion and determination waking up at 5am most mornings and thinking on ways to become a better father to my children, a husband to my wife that is considerate, kind-hearted and empathetic, learning to master my craft and brush up on specialist workshops and connecting this with the people I meet.

Henna paste is usually applied on the skin using a plastic cone or a paint brush, but sometimes a small metal-tipped jacquard bottle used for silk painting (a jac bottle) is used. The painted area is then wrapped with tissue, plastic, or medical tape to lock in body heat, creating a more intense colour on the skin. The wrap is worn overnight and then removed. The final colour is reddish brown and can last anywhere from two weeks to several months depending on the type of the paste.
