Two-Day Workshop in Glasgow
Friday 26th & Saturday 27th June
Impact Arts
The Boardwalk
105 Brunswick Street
Glasgow
G1 1TF

This course is aimed at those looking to start or kick-start their careers in film & television production. It’s run by me - Adam Carrel - a professional of twenty years who has worked all over the world for WWE, BBC, Sky, Champions League Football and more.

The course will cover cameras, sound, lighting, cabling, streaming, live switching, directing and more! Students do not need to bring any equipment as it is all provided.

Break Into TV

I can’t guarantee you a job in Film & TV. What I can tell you is that students of mine have went on to land jobs travelling the world doing what they love. See for yourself:

Thomas and Rory completed my course before travelling to India for a week-long job. Thomas went on to shoot a huge boxing press-conference in Saudi Arabia.

Rory went on to land a job with Hawk-Eye filming professional tennis around the world. This is him in California.

Ryan completed my course and then had the confidence to apply for roles he hadn’t before. He’s now a full-time freelance camera operator working regularly on professional football and basketball.

Paul completed my course and then came with me to New Delhi for a week to shoot professional wrestling.

What You’ll Learn

We’ll cover everything that gets you hired and re-hired:

Cables, connectors, and set etiquette. Cameras, lenses, sound, and lighting. Shot types, framing, focus. On-set behaviour that separates professionals from amateurs.

What are you waiting for?

You don’t need to have any experience at all to do this workshop. You just need the will to learn. This workshop can be a great first step into furthering your career in Film & TV.

One of the fastest ways to make your reels feel more cinematic and professional?

Stop using static clips.

In this edit I’m showing how I create smooth zooms in CapCut using keyframes + the ease in graph function to add movement and make social content feel more dynamic.

It’s a small detail, but it instantly makes footage feel more polished and intentional.

Most people just add a zoom and leave it linear…
That’s why it feels robotic.

Using easing creates natural acceleration and deceleration — closer to how real camera movement behaves.

This works especially well for:
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok videos
• Talking head clips
• Sports edits
• Travel content
• Brand videos
• Podcast clips

Simple movements = better retention.

People don’t realise that subtle editing decisions can massively increase:
→ watch time
→ perceived production value
→ engagement

The difference between average content and content that actually feels crafted is often tiny editing choices like this.

Save this for your next edit 🎥

And if you want more practical videography + editing tutorials from someone working in TV, sport, live events and social media — follow along.

Jamie is a filmmaker and wrestling fan who took our course last year. Since then he’s begun working regularly shooting wrestling and has made contacts in the industry that are setting him up for a great future. As I always say there are no guarantees in pro-wrestling production. After taking the course it takes drive and initiative to get where you want to be. If this sounds like what you want to do, click the link in my bio and find out more about the ‘How to Shoot Pro Wrestling’ course.

Davey from day one looked after us UK cam ops on NXT UK and the international shows. With all he had on his plate on every shoot, he’d always have time to help us out, to make us laugh, or to tell us to stop skiving and get back to work.

There will never be another Davey Coates. Rest in Peace Davey.

I can’t compete with the experience of HBK, but I was glad to be able to talk to camera operators at WXM in India about how we were going to shoot the show. I love directing wrestling, and have been lucky enough to work with many talented camera operators around the world.
