Two days ago, we launched the first-ever Guez X, marking 13 years of Guez and the beginning of what will become an annual platform every June 11 to showcase innovation, creativity, and impact across our ecosystem.
This year’s edition featured the premiere of the “JABO” feature film teaser and the graduation of participants from the MINICT & UNDP-supported CGI and Animation Training Program. Through this initiative, trainees gained hands-on industry experience by working alongside our team on the production of the teaser itself.
Guez X created space for important conversations about the future of Rwanda’s digital and creative economy. We were honored to welcome Hon. Yves N. Iradukunda, Minister of State in MINICT, and Fatmata Lovetta Sesay, UNDP Resident Representative, who joined discussions on strengthening the ecosystem and investing in local talent.
We’re excited to make Guez X an annual tradition that brings together creators, innovators, partners, and industry leaders to showcase what’s possible when creativity and technology converge.
Special thanks to FathersKid23 for bringing the event to life, and to Sharon kobuzare for being a key backbone of the training program and its successful delivery.
