The Biggest Eye toward the Sky …
Magnificent view of Milky Way over the GTC observatory in La Palma, Canary Islands. With a 10.4m diameter mirror, GTC is currently the biggest optical telescope in the world. Although in the next decade, extremely large telescopes (with 30 and 39 meters mirrors) will receive their first light and start a new era in observational astronomy.

I've captured this mosaic of single-exposure photo from Daryasar field in northern Iran. This area is famous for its great view to a range of mountains, some of them are about 4000 meters above sea level.

Twilight ...
The first lights of morning, planets Jupiter and Saturn and Milky Way as seen from Persian Gulf coast in southern Iran. It was a best ending for a photography night and also a great moment for a self-portrait! This part of Persian Gulf coastline is one of my favorite places in Iran for nightscape photography. Rocky beach, rather dark sky, great weather in winter and magnificent sceneries all gathered in one place!

Comet NEOWISE over the clouds.

Being under starry sky is one of my main joys in life. On this moonlit night we camped beside a lake with a great view of Alborz mountains in Iran. A great scene with shy Milkyway and its reflection in the water. That’s when nature shows you the magic!

Crowded lake, silent mountain!

It was holidays in Iran and so many people were at Dalamper lake at northwest of Iran. There was no chance to take nightscape images at the lake because of the crowd, so I decided to go up to a hill with a nice view toward a peak. And here is the result. Glorious Milky Way over snow-covered mountains.
