Friday interactive🧛
Well, how are you, Muscovites, haven't you melted from the heat? Hold on, next week they promise already +12 and rains🥴
And in the meantime, for today's Friday, I've conceived my favorite near-vampire story. Why near? Because Dorian Gray is a bit out of context, however, to the theme of eternal life, he can still be attributed.
Just 7 bright juicy and passionate frames to your attention. Which one caught your eye more? I'm looking forward to your comments and I wish you a great weekend!😘

The price of art💸
The other day I found out that the most expensive photo in the world was sold in 2022 for $12,400,000... Just... This photo is "The Violin of Engra" by Man Ray from 1924.
Still, the world of art is incredible and incomprehensible. You never know in advance what will "shoot" and become a hunted object for collectors, and what will remain dusty in the backrooms of galleries.
It's not for nothing that they say: art is worth as much as they are willing to pay for it. The creator's labor and time costs cannot be considered in isolation from his name. One (relatively speaking) artist will paint a picture in an hour, the other will be poring over it for months. But this does not mean that the second painting will cost more.
The price of art is a difficult balance between objective costs and subjective perception. It is formed at the intersection of marketing, psychology and economics.
Of course, the works of well-known artists are more valuable and expensive. Remember when I told you about the Italian painter Salvatore Rosa? His paintings are just as good as those of his contemporary, Rembrandt. However, we have all heard of Rembrandt, but who knows about Rosa?
I wonder, in 100/200/500 years, who of our contemporaries will be sold at auctions for a hundred thousand million dollars, and who will be written about? I would like to take a look into the future.

Processing with the help of AI📸
Recently, I was at an interesting exhibition, where it was not immediately possible to guess: "ii" shots in front of me or still cool and unusually processed. Doubts about this are becoming more and more due to the constantly pop-up ads that offer to make a whole photo shoot in any style without your direct participation in the photo shoot... In general, every day more questions and less answers🙈
And here's what I've found out: some authors still arrange "good old" photo sets, and then, using the AI built into Photoshop, add various details and change the background. It's all quite traditional, but with a modern twist. And some skilled artists take a ready-made photo as a basis, write a single large prompt, and create these "one-frame photo sessions."
Ultimately, it's up to each individual to decide what they prefer: the result or the process. The trends are such that in a month/year/two, even the most sophisticated and well-versed viewer will not be able to distinguish real photos from generated ones🤷
Thinking about it, I start to feel like a dinosaur who is fighting for the real emotions that my models and I get from preparing for a project and implementing it. Or maybe the younger generation is looking at these things differently? What do you think?

Friday's interactive🔥
I'm bursting into your Friday feed with a fresh selection of hot shots.
That's what it means to really miss someone: less than a week has passed, and the story "on the other side of the lens" has become our favorite section.😍
So, what do you think: 1, 2, 3, or 4?

The law of paired cases🙌
Have you noticed how often some thing that you see or hear about for the first time soon somehow comes into your field of vision again? It turns out that there is such a law of paired cases, which is considered a fundamental principle of probability and statistics. It states that a rarely repeated event, having happened, can happen again.
So, some time ago, I took part in one workshop, and my attention was attracted by a beautiful picture (or rather, a reproduction of a beautiful picture) in the interior. It's all the things I love: the romance of the Pre-Raphaelites, the Renaissance, but I didn't know the artist.👤
Of course, I googled, the author of the masterpiece is Salvator Rosa – an Italian painter, draftsman, engraver and poet of the Baroque era. His work is attributed to the Neapolitan school and the pre-Romantic trend in Western European art.
And just the other day, in training, I heard about this painting and this artist again. Immediately images from that workshop appeared in my head and I thought about the Law of paired cases🙃
So I have a question for you: why is Da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo known to everyone, but only the most enlightened have heard about Salvatore Rosa? Well, is it only because of the Ninja Turtles?🤣

Emotions from the performance🔥
Yesterday I held a closed training broadcast for experienced photographers, I was very worried, but I was quite satisfied with the experience.
Most of all, I was worried about the topic: after all, I had to tell not the base for beginners, but something relevant and personal. Therefore, the focus was on how exactly I implement a project from idea to result, how I assemble a team and why it is important to create your own, and not to chase trends✨
After the broadcast, we discussed how such a pursuit leads to burnout. It's really difficult to do something that doesn't ignite you from a distance. On the other hand, your own ideas and thoughts are an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The key is to overcome the impostor syndrome and not be afraid to express yourself.
I also improved my Zoom skills, now I can adjust the sound so that both me and the participants can be heard. Yes, I didn't know how to do that before😅🙃
Now I want to listen to the rest of the speakers, but I need to make a schedule so that I can do everything.
Did you listen to me yesterday? I want your feedback🤗

Creative techies
Quite often, people are surprised when they find out that I work as both a technician and a photographer. But at the same time, there are a lot of techies among my friends who choose creative hobbies after work. It became interesting to me, I asked the AI why this was so, and this is what he replied:
Prevention of burnout and brain switching: Technical work requires high concentration, logic and work with rigid algorithms. Creative hobbies (drawing, music, modeling, photography) allow you to switch the brain, giving rest to analytical areas and activating emotional ones.
🌸 Balance between logic and creativity: Creativity develops creative thinking, which helps to generate non-standard ideas in professional activities.
The need for a tangible result: In IT or engineering, the result of work is often virtual (code, schema, table). Creativity allows you to create something physical that you can touch or see right away, which increases self-esteem and brings satisfaction.
Emotional release: Creativity helps to reduce anxiety, boost mood and clarify thoughts.
Changing the focus of control: A technician's work often depends on tasks, bugs, or technical limitations. In his hobby, he is in complete control of the process, enjoying the freedom of self-expression.
So it turns out that everything is very logical. And it's not just techies who want such a reboot. For example, one of my friends, a paramedic, decided to open a photo studio: after heavy shifts, when she constantly needed to save someone, she liked to tinker with the decor, paint the walls, and piece together beautiful things. Do you have any such examples?⬇️

Friday's interactive
Today is officially May, the first long weekend, the warming is finally here, and our favorite interactive is a beautiful day, isn't it?🤗
Besides, I have a selection from the Narcissus project for you, because we all miss men's photo shoots already. Therefore, I suggest not to delay, go to the voting and go barbecue and relax!
1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Friday's interactive
When it's cold outside, you especially want something hot, don't you agree?
That's why today we have a selection of sultry beauties who posed for me in various projects. And I'm not even going to ask you to choose (how do I choose here?) the best shot (although, of course, you can try), but I suggest you just admire and throw a spark in the comments.
Have a great weekend

Yana in the matrix
Recently, I caught myself thinking that I feel like some kind of Neo from the famous trilogy of the Wachowski brothers, who is being loaded with new knowledge. Now philosophy and art history are being "poured" into me.😅
And it's a thrill! It is so interesting to study how humanity has developed, because art is a direct reflection of evolution.
Our lecturer recently said a very interesting thought: at one time, everything was modern art, sometimes also provocative and incomprehensible then, as it is now incomprehensible to us today. But over time it became a classic☝️
Can you imagine how contemporaries treated the works of Picasso, Bosch, Dali? Have you ever thought about it?🤔
