Our brain gains a state of dynamic balance when it recognises the visual interest and orderliness created by HARMONY!

👉 In order to create colour harmony in the frame it is necessary to choose colours in such a way that they interact with each other in a favourable way!

Harmonious combinations of colours are such combinations, where colours complement or enhance each other. And as their quantitative ratio is weighed and balanced.

And that to facilitate the selection of these harmonious colours there are colour circles Itten, Mansell, Nyuten, Goethe.

🔦 MY LIGHTING EQUIPMENT🔦

Friends, today I'm answering another popular question from you, "do I use additional light, what kind and in what cases?"
⠀
A lot of people know that I love shooting with natural light, but nevertheless I have lighting equipment too and I use it a lot!
⠀
For example, when there is not enough light and I still want to shoot, or to achieve interesting effects!
⠀
I have a 3000K photographic torch and a YONGNUO YU600L light panel.
⠀
The lantern has a warm light that can be used to simulate the sun.
I use it as a backlight, illuminating the characters' hair. The temperature is not adjustable, but you can change the intensity. And make the contour soft and artistic.

Light panel YONGNUO YN600L, where 600 is the number of diodes with a temperature of 3200-5500 K.
I ordered it on Ali Express. Be careful when ordering, look at the package.
To mine I took separately batteries for 5000 mAh.
I use it to illuminate the faces of the characters.

Where do I get ideas for a shoot?

Sometimes, when I look at a character, I immediately get an idea of the image, details, location....

Sometimes I start from the location! I see some atmospheric place and then I start thinking about images and everything else....

I can also spot an interesting piece of clothing or accessory and then I start thinking about the shoot from there!

Well, and, of course, it's a great idea to look at various children's illustrations, books, good films, paintings....

In general, you can get ideas for shooting from anywhere!
The main thing is to look around!

Knowing and applying compositional techniques can make your photo more interesting and appealing!
One such technique is the "rule of diagonals"☝!
⠀
Diagonals create a sense of dynamics, movement in the frame! The image becomes clear and understandable.
⠀
A diagonal composition with the direction from the lower left corner to the upper right corner is calmer (slows down movement) than one built on the opposite, more dynamic diagonal (speeds up movement).
⠀
Emotionally, on the contrary, a diagonal from the lower left corner to the right corner expresses more cheerful emotions than one from the lower right corner to the left corner.
⠀
How do you apply the👇👇 rule?
🔆Place important elements of the photo along diagonal lines.
🔆Try to make all lines in the frame tend to diagonals (hair, dress, body and arm positions).
🔆If you didn't manage to achieve diagonal lines at once when shooting, then adjust them in post-processing!

SECRET 1 - quality source material!

In all my trainings I always say it relentlessly!
⠀
Think EVERYTHING through: the image, the location and their combination, the composition of the frame, the location of the light, the poses!
⠀
SECRET 2 - a clear processing scheme!
⠀
You should have your own clear scheme, step by step. Where you start, what comes next, etc.
Maybe some jobs will not need this or that step, but the clarity of action should be.
Chaotic, believe me - wastes a lot of time!

In all my training, by the way, I share my scheme, and the guys who have adopted it, share that processing became less time-consuming 😊!
