Am primit cadou primul aparat foto cu film când aveam 13 ani. Era un aparat rusesc care în locaşul butonului declanşator avea un cui... dar cu acel aparat am făcut niște fotografii foarte dragi mie, pe care le printam în laboratorul foto improvizat acasă... am reușit apoi să „evoluez” la aparate mai bune, iar la vârsta de 23 de ani m-am angajat fotograf pe vase de croazieră. Am avansat ierarhic de

stul de repede și am petrecut mulți ani ca manager de laborator foto pe cele mai mari și mai celebre vase de croazieră din lume. O pasiune mai veche (navigatul pe mările și oceanele lumii) s-a împletit astfel cu marea mea iubire, fotografia. Acolo, pe acele vase, am făcut parte din elita mondială a fotografiei de evenimente și am fost în permanență la curent cu tot ceea ce era legat de acest gen de fotografie. Fiind vorba de pasiunea mea, m-am și auto-educat foarte mult în domeniu..................................
Photography is my hobby ever since I was a kid. It was an old Russian camera which had a nail for a shutter release button, but with that camera I took some photos I cherish. I would print my photos in a makeshift laboratory I had built at home. I gradually “evolved” to better cameras, and when I was 23 I started working as a photographer on cruise ships. I moved up the ladder fairly quickly and I spent many years as Photo Lab Manager on the largest and the most famous cruise ships in the world. An old passion (sailing the world’s oceans) got intertwined with my big love, Photography. On those ships I was part of the world elite of Photography and I permanently updated my knowledge with the latest trends in this business ........................................................................................................
