A mai trecut un an și iată că ai noștri copii au mai crescut, iar noi am mai diversificat paleta de jocuri de societate pe care le jucăm in familie. Cu Gruia, care are 6 ani jumătate am început chiar să jucăm jocuri pe care mulți adulți le joacă în serile mai casual. Sânziana, care are acum 3 ani, a rămas la jocurile dedicate exclusiv copiilor, însă este și ea prezentă mereu când jucăm împreună cu fratele ei.

Atenția și concentrarea sunt deja mai bune decât anul trecut, însă toleranța la frustrare încă așteptăm să fie îmbunătățită. Gruia acceptă foarte greu o înfrângere, uneori parcă mai greu ca în trecut. Sânziana a învățat să își aștepte rândul, dar menționează întotdeauna că doar ea este câștigătoare, chiar și atunci când pierde sau când jucăm un joc cooperativ. Pare haotic, știu, și uneori chiar este, dar este și plăcut să ne jucăm împreună.

Urmează în scurt timp Ziua Copilului, așa că ne-am gândit să o celebrăm printr-un nou articol cu recomandări de jocuri, scrise în ordine aleatorie.

🗿 Temple of Five is transforming all this into a strategic puzzle. Behind his colorful aspect, the game hides a lot of strategy and planning. Each tile you place into your pyramid counts, and the way you arrange them and activate them counts even more. You have a limited number of actions, so make sure you take advantage of each.

🪨 When I first saw the game I was attracted by the looks of it, and by the theme. It’s always fun to build pyramids, and here you do it level by level, so it has also a visual impact. But the real surprise is the gameplay. The way it combines the tile placement, worker placement and the indirect interaction between players is making Temple of Five a fun experience.

🪾 The players take the roles of the leaders of different clans that compete in building pyramids decorated with sacred symbols and will use priests to obtain the favors of the gods and of course, victory points. At first it may seem a simple family game, but after you start playing you will find out how much each action counts and how important is the long term planning.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 „50 de Familii" este o provocare națională simplă: timp de o lună, 50 de familii din toată România se angajează să joace împreună un joc de societate în fiecare săptămână.

Ce trebuie să faceți dacă sunteți selectați?

➡️ 1 - Toate cele 50 de familii selectate vor primi acasă, gratuit, un kit cu 10 jocuri de societate din selecția campaniei, plus câteva surprize din partea partenerilor noștri.

➡️ 2 - Timp de 4 săptămâni, jucați împreună cel puțin un joc de societate pe săptămână. Poate fi seara după cină, duminica la prânz, sau oricând familia este adunată.

➡️ 3 - Documentați momentul! După fiecare sesiune de joc, postați pe rețelele sociale (Instagram, Facebook sau TikTok) cel puțin un material din lista de mai jos:

🪲 After the nice experience we had with Kabuto Sumo we were really curious to try Kabuto Sumo: Sakura Slam and see if it manages to bring enough to the table so it can deserve a place in our collection. The push mechanic is still one of the most satisfying from games in our collection, but there is one question that we need to answer to ourselves: How much can this formula evolve?

🐝 Like in the case of Kabuto Sumo, Larisa was a bit skeptic at first, Sakura Slam seemed much more of the same thing. But after a few plays things changed. Sakura Slam not only keeps the original vibe, but brings enough variety to this that it will make you want to play the game again and again.

🕷️ The theme of the game remains the same: warrior bugs that are participating in a fight tournament inspired by the sumo fights. These ferocious small beasts will try to push their opponents out of the ring. The change in the theme is that now we have the vibe and landscape of the game inspired by the cherry blossoms. And of course, the new fighters that joined the fight have all new different styles and tactics.

🦟 If you liked Kabuto Sumo then this is the next step. If you did not yet play it then you can start with this one. The game can be looked as a stand alone game or as an expansion to the original. For the game experience it’s not necessary to have both Kabuto sumo in your collection, but if you want more options and a lot of variety then you can go for both of them. We enjoyed both and we decided that they will both stay in our collection.

🦫 In the XVII century, in the city of Königsberg, there was a river with several islands connected through 7 bridges. The people living in Königsberg were in a dilemma, was it possible for them to take a walk through the city but use each bridge only one time?

🌉 Leonhard Euler, a mathematician, has analyzed the problem in 1736 and proved it is not possible by making and using a simple map of the city where the islands were points and the bridges were lines. For such a road to exist, the idea is related to the number of bridges connected to each island. At most two islands can have an odd number of connections. In the case of Königsberg, there were more than two, which made the route impossible. This problem is at the base of various modern mathematic concepts, and in the case of the board game Kingdom Crossing it inspires directly the movement mechanics and the planning of the paths you can choose.

🏰 Our game takes place in the charming kingdom of Brightspring, and the players will take the roles of hardworking beavers tasked by the queen to build the 8th bridge to unite all the territories. At the moment the kingdom is split into 4 regions by the Cristal River, each of these region offers a different type of resource, one has plenty of food, in another there is a lot of wood and so on. But the inhabitants of these regions started to fight with each other, so the Queen Beavery decided to keep the peace, but for this her followers needed to see her, so she established a path to visit all the four regions of the kingdom. As the bridges were very important for the inhabitants of each region she decided to cross each bridge only one time on her path. After crossing 6 bridges she saw that to visit each of the regions she needed to cross one of the bridges two times. To make this possible she needed to build the 8th bridge, so the queen sent you and the other players, her most trusted counselors to gather what was needed to build the 8th bridge. You will need to gather resources, decorations and of course to find the craftsmen to do this.

🇷🇴 Când eram mai tânăr, în liceu, aveam camera plină de postere cu trupele care îmi plăceau. Să acopăr pereții cu ele era o activitate care îmi făcea plăcere, dar uneori era și dificil să aleg dintre toate posterele pe care le aveam ce să pun pe pereți. Știi cm e: spațiu limitat și o mulțime de posibilități. Dar acea perioadă a trecut, iar acum pereții din casa mea sunt fără postere… cel puțin până cresc copiii mei.

🎨 Acum că am crescut și pot face ce vreau în propria casă, încerc mereu să-mi impresionez prietenii decorând pereții cu cele mai la modă colecții de opere de artă. Și da, nimeni nu mă poate opri să-mi decorez pereții cm îmi place, nici măcar soția! Ea este chiar încântată să mă vadă la lucru… cel puțin atunci când fac asta în jocul Art Society, publicat de Mighty Boards si tradus in limba romana de Gameology .

🖼În acest joc ești un cunoscător de artă cu mulți bani, care vrea să creeze cea mai impresionantă colecție de opere de artă. Pentru asta va trebui să licitezi pentru fiecare piesă și, desigur, nu vei fi singurul care face asta. Toți ceilalți jucători de la masă vor încerca să le obțină, așa că, ai ceea ce trebuie pentru a aduna cele mai valoroase picturi?

🇬🇧 When I was young, in high school, I had my room filled with posters with the bands I liked. Filling the walls with them was an activity I enjoyed, but sometimes it was also challenging choosing from all my posters what to place on the walls. You know how it is, limited space and a lot of possibilities. But that period has ended, and now the walls in my house are clear of posters, at least until my children grow up.

Now that I have grown up and I can do whatever I want in my house, I always try to impress my peers by decorating my walls with the most fashionable collection of works of art. And yes, no one can stop me from decorating the walls as I like, not even my wife! She is even happy seeing me at work, at least when I do this in the game Art Society published by Mighty Boards.
