ErKE - Transylvanian Lightpainters' Association

A few words about the Association ...
ErKE means Transylvanian Lightpainters Association. At that time I was coming back to Cluj after spending 17 years in Hunagry. As a photographer, I've tried to meet other people with the same interests, to share ideas and experience. As I didn't find anything of the kind, I discuss with some friends and decided to found this photo group. We were all en

thusiastic about the idea and started working, making plans, finding a name for our group and choosing its logo. From the beginning we wanted ErKE to become representative for the contemporary photography in Transylvania. At the same time we wanted to encourage young artists to manifest their creativity through photography. Our first meeting took place in December 2008 and we were extremely happy to see so much people gathered around our idea. That was a confirmation that we're doing a good thing and motivated us to go further. We love to have meetings, discussions, workshops, contests, personal or group exhibitions, we love to organize photo trips and take part in challenging projects. You can see what we've done so far in 'Events'. If we stirred your curiosity, than you are invited to taste the ErKE feeling!
