Newborn Wrapping Tips 🤍
One of my favorite parts of a newborn session is wrapping — it not only looks adorable but also helps your little one feel safe and content. Babies love to feel snug and secure, just like they were in the womb, and wrapping can make all the difference for a calm, sleepy session ✨
Here are a few simple techniques I love using:
🩵 Full Wrap (the “Burrito”) – Perfect for fussy or unsettled babies. This style keeps baby’s arms and legs tucked in nice and snug, helping them feel cozy and secure.
🤍 Half Wrap – I start with baby’s arms wrapped and legs free. It gives that sweet, natural look while still providing comfort. Great for transitioning between poses!
💛 Layered Wraps – I’ll often use a base stretch wrap (like a soft jersey or cheesecloth) for support, and then layer a pretty textured wrap on top for those dreamy, styled shots.
Each baby is different — some love being tightly swaddled, while others prefer a looser, more relaxed wrap. The key is always to follow baby’s cues and make sure they’re comfortable at every step 💫
Newborn photography is all about patience, warmth, and creating a peaceful space where baby feels completely at ease.
