Today marks the Netflix premiere of season 3 of the series Rabo de Peixe, for which we had the pleasure of shooting the underwater and surface shots.

FAIAL (AZORES) - JULY/2026

EN: In July/2026, Rui Guerra will be leading a dive trip to Faial island (Azores), where one of the highlights will be diving with big blue sharks, in those pristine waters.
You'll also dive at the best spots of Faial and seamonts around like Condor and Princess Alice banks (with good sea conditions).

It’s a trip specially design to uw photographers and videographers, with time to make great images underwater and daily workshops about technical and creative aspects of uw image making, along with lots of dive tips on how to increase safety and productivity during the dives.

Filming underwater wildlife behavior is almost always the best subject. Often, even a not-so-rare species can be seen in a new light when we witness a special moment in their lives.
A mother squid laying her eggs is a good example of this.

People often tell me they don't like freshwater diving because "there's nothing to see."

While it's not the usual type of sea diving, there are some advantages: a different and challenging environment, almost no people around, limited visibility, other species, and sometimes quite large specimens like these "big and fat" common carp (Cyprinus carpio) that can weigh many kilos and measure between 60 cm and almost 1 m in length.
