Often, the focus before the ceremony is placed almost entirely on the bride. The groom’s preparations are treated as something secondary, quick and uncomplicated. But this moment matters just as much.

It is important that the groom also wants timeless portraits of his wedding day. Not only as a complement to the bride’s story, but as part of his own. These quiet minutes before the ceremony carry anticipation, emotion, and meaning that deserve to be remembered.

When both partners value this time and dedicate space for thoughtful portraits, the story becomes complete. Balanced, intentional, and honest. Images that will remain long after the day has passed, reminding them both of how it all began.

Alex had been planning this moment for months, all the way from Canada. Every detail of his proposal to Francesca was carefully thought out, and when the time finally came, it was pure magic.

I stood at a distance, quietly documenting it all without needing to get too close. The Canon RF 85mm f/1.2, kindly provided by , allowed me to capture every subtle expression and all the raw emotions from afar.

After the big “yes”, I joined them for a short session, where their happiness was undeniable and contagious. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

There’s something truly magical about the Alentejo. Photographing this wedding was even more special because it brought me back to my hometown. Walking through places that hold so many memories from my youth, while capturing new stories of love, felt like closing a perfect circle.

Karina & Jay flew all the way from the United States to celebrate their love in the heart of Lisbon.

There’s something magical about this city when the sun dips below the horizon and the streets glow under the warm embrace of streetlights. At blue hour, Lisbon feels straight out of a movie.

Every corner becomes a scene. Every moment feels cinematic and with Karina & Jay, Lisbon became the perfect backdrop for a love story worth capturing forever.
