©2026 Come with me to Lisbon. I am standing beside the tracks, watching the movement, the shadows and the hurried pace of those passing by. As a photographer, I enjoy observing, experimenting and adjusting my camera until I find another way to tell what I see. This time, I chose to keep only one colour: yellow.

Can a Lisbon tram truly be represented without that yellow? For me, it cannot. I admit I am not particularly fond of the red tourist trams. I have photographed them, of course, but I never chase them the way I chase the yellow ones.

I am not a devoted defender of selective colour, but I loved this result. The photograph is full of movement, urgency and confusion, a kind of urban stress that, strangely, calms me. What about you, do you enjoy black-and-white photographs with one dominant colour? And for those who do not take photos, what did this image make you feel?

©2026 Lisboa nunca anda toda à mesma velocidade.

A cidade é a mesma.

O caminho é que nunca é igual.

©2026 Lisbon never moves at the same speed.

Some people run, some walk without hurry, some wait, and others cross the city simply because they need to get somewhere. Some look through a tram window, some walk alone along a narrow street, some stop for a few minutes, and others barely notice everything happening around them.

That is exactly why I enjoy photographing people. I do not know who they are, where they come from, or where they are going, but for a few seconds, our paths cross and they become part of the story I am telling.

Each of these people experiences Lisbon for a different reason and at their own pace.

The city remains the same.

The journey is never the same.

©2026 Some places seem to wake before we do. I arrived while the sky was still changing colour and found empty boardwalks, silent shores and soft light transforming every detail. Nothing extraordinary happened that morning. Perhaps that was exactly what made it unforgettable.

©2026 Some places cannot be explained straight away.

The Carrasqueira stilt pier is one of those places. At first glance, it may seem like just wood, water, boats and seagulls. But if you stay a little longer, you begin to feel something else.

There are crooked paths that resist.
There are boards worn by many footsteps.
There are boats held by the tide, waiting to move again.
There are lost colours in the old wood.
And there is silence. A lot of silence.

I started with the seagulls, as if they were guarding that place. Then came the walkways, the red house, the painted details, the boats in the mud and that dog, sitting there like part of the story.

Photographing this was not just about capturing a landscape.
It was about feeling the rhythm of a place that lives slowly.

The Carrasqueira pier has the imperfect beauty of things that resist.
Nothing is too aligned.
Nothing seems finished.
And maybe that is why it holds the eye.

A story made of wood, tide and waiting.

Sete fotografias. O mesmo tema. A mesma cidade. Sempre em movimento.

©2026 Lisbon is never crossed in a straight line.

It reveals itself between windows, tracks, reflections, shadows and trams that appear as if they were part of the city’s own breathing.

In one image, there is a child by the window. In another, someone photographs the moment. Further ahead, the tram disappears around a bend. Then it returns in a reflection, in a puddle, in a narrow street, on an old façade.

None of this was planned as a story. But Lisbon has this habit: it puts the pieces together on its own.

Seven photographs. The same theme. The same city. Always in motion.

©2025 I went out to photograph architecture. I came back with a giraffe hidden among palm trees, giant flowers challenging perspective, reflections playing tricks on the eye, and a father running after his child. Along the way, a few unanswered questions remained. Maybe that’s the magic of photography: getting lost to discover stories we never knew we were looking for.

E lembrado.

©2025 She stood there, still, for minutes. Back turned to the world, eyes fixed on the ruins. And I was drawn to her. The way she became part of the temple, as if time had paused just for that moment. That’s where this series began.

At the Acropolis, every stone holds a memory. I walked among wounded columns and statues still holding up the sky. I felt the silence of history, the soft weight of something that has been everything and still is so much.

This place isn’t just to be seen. It’s to be heard. And remembered.

©2025 Acting on impulse is easy. Pausing to reflect takes strength. This image invites us to look inward before moving forward. The reflection in the water mirrors the decisions we have yet to make. That’s where change begins. Before acting, observe yourself. That’s how conscious paths are built.
