Dashing White ends today, and August has been a bit mental over here.

We did not have the time to build new chapters in the studio, so we went back to the archive and found an old editorial we still love, Pattern Of Thoughts, shot more than ten years ago.
This set of four images felt like the right way to close the series.

Same place, with and without the human element.
And it is funny how everything changes.
A space can be perfect on its own, clean, quiet, holding its shape.
Then someone steps in and suddenly it has tension, scale, a story, a reason to exist.
The room stays the same, but the feeling does not.

For us, that is the point.
We design, we style, we photograph, but it only becomes real when it is lived in.

We have been quieter than usual on the feed lately, not because we have nothing to share, but because this time of year is full speed.

Travel, weddings, long days, and both our photography and floral styling teams moving at once.

We will pop in when we can, and we will keep showing the work as it comes, always without forcing it.

For now, here is a small pause from the studio, a reminder that simple portraits still get us every time, even in the middle of the chaos.

Dashing White, with the lights turned low.
White orchids against a black backdrop, one side catching the light like a small signal in the dark.

Same series, new approach, and a reminder that white is not always soft. Sometimes it is sharp, dramatic, and steady.

When we placed this in the feed, we noticed something we did not plan.
The shape of this first frame echoes the first image from our last carousel.
Almost like Caroline and Mike, transformed into flowers.

Two years ago today, Caroline and Mike got married here in Portugal.
It was the kind of day that carried her energy through every moment, full of life, full of presence, full of love.

Caroline used to say, “Why not? Why wait?” and that line feels even louder now, like a strong reminder of what really matters

Caroline left us almost almost a year ago, and it still feels unreal to write that sentence.
Today we are sharing these images as a small homage to the incredible person she was, and to Mike.

May these photographs keep her close, again and again, in the way only images can.

This dinner was built as a small love letter to Vila do Conde.

Designed and styled together with CRACHÁ - Private Celebrations & Brand Experiences team for The Planners Retreat - Annual Event by , with one clear intention: let the place lead, and let the materials do the storytelling.

We worked with a fish net like material to echo the fishing life that shapes this town, and we brought lace into the entrance installation as a nod to renda dos bilros, the local craft that is part of Vila do Conde’s identity.
Ropes, branches, and raw textures came in naturally after that, pulling from both the industry and the landscape around it.

Not decoration for decoration’s sake, but a setting that felt rooted, tactile, and a little wild.

And yes, it sits right inside our Dashing White mood for August.

Pause for a glimpse of an intimate Porto wedding from last December.
A few portraits, a few details, and a lot of atmosphere.

Sometimes you do not need a big production for a day to feel full.
A good hotel, good light, and the right people who actually want to be there.

We love city weddings like this because everything is close.
You feel the rhythm of the place, then you sit down for dinner and the whole thing softens.
Glasses clinking, conversations getting louder, that warm end of day mood where time stops being important.

Dashing White, as it really is.

The white amaranthus ceiling is still here from the last dinner we shared, but everything else is just our photography studio in its usual state.
No new setup, no extra layer, just the space breathing on its own.

We wanted to post this because it is a good reminder for us too.
We do not always need to build something new to be in a creative mindset.
This room already holds it.
A white canvas where we can imagine and bring to life whatever comes next.
We paint, we build, we hang installations, we take them down, we reset, we start again.

Today we just wanted to show you our photography studio as it is.

Tomorrow’s solar eclipse felt like the right excuse to bring this back.

Styled and photographed in our studio in 2024, but somehow more relevant now than it was then.

The moon as a backdrop, a table built for shadow and contrast, and that quiet tension we always chase between what is lit and what disappears for a second.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, casting its shadow on Earth.

We are not here to turn science into poetry, but we do love what it does to the light. A
reminder that the atmosphere is not always about adding more.

Sometimes it is about letting the dark have a place at the table too.

Dashing White, chapter one.

We started August with an all neutral dinner setup in the studio, and it felt right to follow that thread into a full series.
So today we went back to our archives and rescued a 2024 installation that still speaks to us, loudly, even in silence.

We turned our photography studio into a giant white on white environment using the transparent plastics left from renovation.
Suspended like soft waves, they changed the room completely, diffusing the light and smoothing every edge.
Then we kept the florals just as focused, a single arrangement of white orchids.
We love colour, always have, but white on white does something else.

For us it reads like calm, like clarity, like a safe place.
Paradise, in our own language.
Dashing, in white.
