"ENCHANTED II"
On an island in the middle of the Tagus River, the Castle of Almourol seems like a place that came out of a fantasy tale.
There are many tales about this Castle, most of those tales are actually about princesses and they're lovers, pretty much like fairy tales. Making this castle even more fantastic and surreal.
"ENCANTADO II"
Numa ilha no meio do rio Tejo, o Castelo de Almourol parece um local saído de um conto de fantasia.
Existem muitos contos sobre este castelo, a maioria deles são na verdade sobre princesas e os seus amantes, tal como nos contos de fadas. Tornando este castelo ainda mais fantástico e surreal.

"TRIANGULUM GALAXY"
Also known as Messier 33 or NGC 598, the Triangulum galaxy is the third largest member of the local group of galaxies, after the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way.
It is also one of the few galaxies that can be seen with the naked eye, under exceptional conditions, almost impossible nowadays. 😅
To do this picture I shot more than 800 pictures, for 5 nights, totalling about 15 hours exposure.
"GALÁXIA DO TRIÂNGULO"
Também conhecida como Messier 33 ou NGC 598, a Galáxia do Triângulo é o terceiro maior membro do grupo local de galáxias, depois da Galáxia Andrômeda e da Via Láctea.
É também uma das poucas galáxias que podem ser vistas a olho nu, em condições excepcionais, o que é quase impossível nos dias de hoje. 😅
Para fazer esta foto tirei mais de 800 fotos, durante 5 noites, totalizando cerca de 15 horas de exposição.

"EVERGREEN"
Down the mountains, between cliffs and hills, mostly under shadow, water flowing all year, always green, a narrow stream goes down the Natural Park of São Mamede creating this small but somehow mystic waterfall where the only sound you can hear is the sound of water flowing.

Descendo a serra, entre escarpas e colinas, maioritariamente à sombra, a água a correr todo o ano, sempre verde, um estreito riacho desce pelo Parque Natural de São Mamede criando esta pequena mas algo mística cascata onde o único som que se ouve é o som das água fluindo...

"SUPER FULL MOON OVER PORTALEGRE"
After trying to plan a picture of the full moon in many places, this is where I end up doing it. My hometown, it saddens me to say it, but it is the first picture I ever posted of this city, not that I haven't tried, but I never liked the outcome. Hope you enjoy this one!!! 😉

Depois de tentar planear a foto da super lua cheia em vários lugares, foi aqui que acabei por a fazer, na minha cidade natal. Por estranho que pareça, está é a primeira foto que público da cidade, não que eu não tenha tentado tirar outras fotos, mas nunca gostei do resultado. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Espero que gostem desta!!! 😉

"TIMELESS GIANTS II"
Once again, the Windmills known from the adventures of Don Quijote from the book of Miguel Cervantes.
But this time on a different location, in the hills of Consuegra.
Each of this mills have a name of a character from the book, Sancho, Dulcinea, etc.
Nowadays the mills don't do the work they este built for, but still, they look really Nice at the top of the hill and are a well known turistic atraction.
"GIGANTES INTEMPORAIS II"
Mais uma vez, os Moinhos de Vento conhecidos das aventuras de Don Quijote do livro de Miguel Cervantes.
Mas desta vez em um local diferente, nas colinas de Consuegra.
Cada um destes moinhos tem o nome de uma personagem do livro, Sancho, Dulcinéia, etc.
Hoje em dia os moinhos não fazem o trabalho para o qual foram construídos, mas ainda assim, eles ficam muito bonitos no topo da colina e são uma atração turística bem conhecida.

"OS 12 MELHORES"
Once Alter do Chão was rulled by 12 men, they were responsable for the administration of the village, they were called "Os 12 Melhores", (The 12 best).
One day, a nobleman named Martim Esteves de Moles decided to settle in Alter do Chão. However, "The 12 Best” of Alter, knowing the rights that the Charter granted them, did not allow the abusive and arrogant nobleman to invade their homes and make use of what did not belong to him.
The nobleman was very angry with the ban imposed by "The 12 Best” of Alter. And so, he went to file a complaint with King D. Afonso IV, the Brave. But the King agreed with "The 12 best".
The arrogant nobleman, not satisfied with the King's decision, decided to avenge his honor by returning to Alter do Chão with many men-at-arms and murder "The 12 Best".
When the king learned of what had happened, he wanted to punish the nobleman for his disobedience and cruelty! However, Martim fled to Spain, where he was safe from the king's wrath.

"THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD"
A waterfall with almost 100 meters high, that comes out of a dark cave in a middle of a stone wall with 300 meters high, is where the Mundo River is born.
Surrounded by an amazing landscape and biodiversity, located in the "Parque Natural de los Calares del Mundo y de la Sima", this is surely a place we can't miss when visiting Castilla-la Mancha.
"A NASCENTE DO MUNDO"
Uma cascata com quase 100 metros de altura, que sai de uma caverna escura no meio de uma parede de pedra com 300 metros de altura, é onde nasce o rio Mundo.
Rodeado por uma incrível paisagem e biodiversidade, localizado no "Parque Natural de los Calares del Mundo y de la Sima", este é certamente um lugar que não podemos deixar de visitar quando visitamos Castilla-la Mancha.

"TIMELESS GIANTS"
Remember the adventures of Don Quijote from the book of Miguel Cervantes? This windmills were the ones Don Quijote fought, because he imagine it to be "lawless giants" as he called it. 😅
This sunrise was not a great one, but the clouds were moving fast, so I decided to try a long exposure, the result was this picture. I believe I was more sucessfull than Don Quijote fighting the windmills. 😂

Lembram-se das aventuras de Dom Quixote do livro de Miguel Cervantes? Estes moinhos de vento foram os que Dom Quijote lutou, porque imaginou serem "gigantes sem lei", como ele os chamava. 😅
Este nascer do sol não estava espetacular, mas as nuvens moviam-se rapidamente, e por isso decidi tentar uma longa exposição, o resultado foi esta foto. Acho que tive mais sucesso que o Dom Quixote a lutar contra os moinhos de vento. 😂

"ORION NEBULA"
The Orion nebula is one of the few nebulas that can be seen with the naked eye. Located in the Orion constellation just below Orion's belt.
This shot was the result of three hours exposure. In my opinion it is good enough, but it can be better, but I will have to wait till next winter to do a bigger exposure and improve this picture. Hope you enjoy it!!!

A nebula de Orion é uma das poucas nebulas que podem ser vistas a olho nu. Localizada na constelação de Orion, por baixo do cinturão de Orion.
Esta foto foi o resultado de três horas de exposição. Na minha opinião está bom o suficiente, mas pode ficar melhor, mas vou ter que esperar até o próximo inverno para fazer uma exposição maior e melhorar a foto. Espero que gostem!!!

"ALTER PEDROSO"
Once a castle, now only ruins remain. But still it is a nice place with a panoramic swing and a geodesic landmark, marking the highest point of this village.

Outrora um castelo, agora restam apenas ruínas. Mas ainda assim é um local agradável com um baloiço panorâmico e um marco geodésico, marcando o ponto mais alto desta vila.

"ROSETTE NEBULA"
This is the first deepsky picture that I'm posting (first of many I hope).
Those last few months I've been doing a lot of deepsky photography, it is not something easy to do, that's why it took me so long to post something. Between finding the right range, the right exposure, finding where the objects are, post-processing and everything else, it was a long process to learn how to do it properly, and I still have a lot to learn. But quite worth! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed doing it!
"NEBULA ROSETA"
Esta é a primeira foto de céu profundo que público (a primeira de muitas, espero).
Nós últimos meses tenho feito várias fotografias de céu profundo, não é algo fácil de fazer, por isso demorei tanto para postar algo. Entre encontrar a distância focal e o tempo de exposição correta, descobrir onde estão os objetos no céu, pós-processamento e tudo mais, foi um longo processo aprender a fazer tudo isto corretamente, e ainda há muito para aprender. Mas vale muito a pena! Espero que gostem tanto da foto quanto eu gostei de a fazer!
