Another gem from 2016 that never made it to the grid. I know, I know… I’m terrible at posting sessions—new or old. But I’ve been sticking to my promise of sharing more lately, so here we are.
This in-home session was a special one. Not only was it my first shoot in New Jersey, but mom was also a fellow photographer—which always adds a tiny bit of pressure. Thankfully, any nerves melted away the second I walked through the door. This family was so warm, welcoming, and just effortless in front of the camera.
In-home sessions always tug at my heartstrings. There’s something really meaningful about capturing those early memories in a baby’s first home—snuggled in the nursery, surrounded by love (and in this case, the sweetest dog and a shy little cat who made a quiet appearance). We spent time indoors, stepped into the backyard, and ended in the neighbourhood park nearby.
Feels good to finally give this one a moment.
