No meio do Lago Titicaca, perto de Puno (Peru), o povo de Uros vive em ilhas de junco flutuantes. Diz-se que o objetivo das ilhas flutuantes era originalmente defensivo, pelo que podiam ser movidas sempre que necessário. Tanto a ilha como a torre de vigia e os barcos são feitos de juncos de totora secos. O povo de Uros subsiste principalmente da pesca, da caça de pássaros e ovos e do artesanato.

Out on the middle of Lake Titicaca, near Puno (Peru), the Uros people live on man-made floating reed islands. It is said the purpose of the floating islands was originally defensive, so they could be moved whenever necessary. Both the island, the watch tower and the boats are made of dried totora reeds. The Uros people subsist mostly by fishing, hunting birds and gathering eggs and making handicraft.

Localizada na região Vatnajokull e com 250m de profundidade, a lagoa Jökulsárlón (também conhecida como "Lagoa Glacial") é a mais profunda da Islândia. Os icebergs desprendem-se do glaciar Breiðamerkurjökull, flutuam lentamente na lagoa Jökulsárlón e eventualmente desaguam no Oceano Atlântico.

Located in Vatnajokull region and with 250m deep, the Jökulsárlón lagoon (also known as "Glacial Lagoon") is the deepest in Iceland. The icebergs break off from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, float slowly through the Jökulsárlón lagoon and eventually join the Atlantic Ocean.

Nas profundezas da Cordilheira dos Andes e a uma altitude de cerca de 5.000 m / 16.400 pés acima do nível do mar, podemos encontrar uma das mais incríveis maravilhas geológicas do mundo: as Montanhas Arco-Íris. Existem dois principais fatores que explicam as faixas de diferentes cores: mineralogia e diferentes condições ambientais em milhões de anos. Comunidades locais vivem perto das Montanhas Arco-Íris.

Deep within the Andes and at an altitude of about 5.000 m / 16.400 ft above sea level, we can find one of the world's most incredible geological wonders: the Rainbow Mountains. There are 2 main factors that explain the different colour stripes: mineralogy and different environmental conditions in many million years. Local communities live near the Rainbow Mountains.

Cidade Inca de Machu Picchu construída no Peru por volta do século XV entre duas montanhas - Huayna Picchu e Machu Picchu - a uma altitude de 2.430 metros / 7.972 pés acima do nível do mar. Apesar a maior parte das cidades Incas terem sido destruídas pelos conquistadores Espanhóis, no século XVI, estes nunca encontraram a cidade Inca de Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Inca City, a 15th-century Inca site in Peru, located between 2 mountains - Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu - at an altitude of 2430 meters / 7972 feet above sea level. Although most of the Incas cities were destroyed by the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century, they never found Machu Picchu Inca City.
