Just yesterday I was taking a dip in the ocean. And voila! It’s autumn!
Back to business. Are you ready?

I have some news and two new formats to launch. The first on is out tomorrow on my channel Get ready to laugh a lot :)
The second is in development and coming out in a month or so. And there are some big news and decisions.

Hitting nostalgia note.
October 2023. That’s when I took my new Sony and went to Paris to celebrate my birthday.
joined the celebration, was setting up surprise candles for me every day of our Parisian adventure.
And that’s when I filmed my first video essay. I forgot my nd filter, shot in hd, my grading skills were obviously inexistent. I didn’t know how to use my ronin so it stayed idle in my suitcase.
I didn’t care. I had no idea I could do it at all. I was always told as a director that I have to work with dop. And these were special people, preferably men. I just told myself camera movement is like a dance and went with a flow. I even didn’t have a script.
And here we are, in 2026. I still think that camera movement is a dance.

On this day a year ago I was at a pre-launch of my creative studio. Excited about logos and fonts.
They don’t tell you this when you start, talent and skills is not enough to operate a business.
My visual style progressed over this year though.
But that’s not what I learned. To build from scratch you need to be ready to fight, to walk away, to flop, look bad in someone’s eyes, in your own eyes, to question authority and rise after you failed. And keep on building when nobody’s watching, when they ask when you find a real job.
If the pressure is overshadows the excitement of building your own thing, go find a a job indeed.
It’s been an incredibly challenging year that shook my trust and tested my self-worth. What I realized is that Lda is nothing but an operating form, not your identify.

Why Lisbon, they ask. I say - why not?
I had a great pleasure to share my story with
I e been based in Lisbon for almost 8 years and here’s what I learned:
Low wages, expensive rent and other hardships don’t cancel dining out and Friday fun. Well… Lisbon is the only city where I fancy going out on Monday. So basically on this department, Lisbon taught me to accept very little and still have fun.
