Hi 👋🏻 nice to meet you all finally! I’ve been watching all these new likes come to a page I created ages ago yet never posted to, and wondered - why?! I never posted anything yet here yet you are, & more likes keep coming in.. (and regularly too!) but thank you all so much regardless 🥰
Good news for you is you will actually start seeing some content and hopefully there’ll be a proper reason to have liked this page. Fingers crossed with more posts, we’ll see more people who come by too!
So thanks again, you can see the first post shared from my Instagram below 👇 xx
Hello there, it’s been a fair while since I’ve posted (as always) however this is my first non-travel related post since I got home in 2019.
The last couple of years have been a very weird place for me - I’ve not really managed to find myself sitting comfortably or felt like I really belonged anywhere in particular since being home. Then we all got stuck indoors and couldn’t really see people and that just added to everything, as I’m sure it did for most. I think that lack of understanding left me feeling very unmotivated to even edit any shots I already had left from my year away, let alone go out and take new ones, so naturally I pushed this lovely hobby I enjoy to one side. I didn’t want to keep reliving the travel blues whilst not really knowing where I was going or what I was doing/wanted to do.
However! on a more positive note I’ve feel that I’ve found my feet again. I’ve been living in Bristol city centre since the start of 2021, got a new job and worked on working out how I’d get back into doing what I enjoyed and doing it more. I don’t stress so much about what I’m doing with my life or where it’s heading, and I’m fairly content with where I’m at right now. I recently took a great solo trip to the Lake District, my brother kindly lent me his DSLR so I could practice on more professional equipment whilst I was there and as of now, I’ve got my own new camera and better equipment to edit/store my content on.
It’s been a while coming, but felt the only way id be able to move away from that 2020 negative slump was to get some fresh starts in place - so here I am, starting fresh with some new shots, new equipment and a lot more motivation. I’m really excited to get back into this regularly and build up my photography skills over time to a great place. Hope you enjoy these and there’s more to come! & thanks again to Ed for lending me his DSLR so I could take these shots. (Shots from my own new camera to come in the near future) 📷 📸
