Archilapse Architectural Timelapse film Ricardo Oliveira Alves photographes architecture for over 10 years.

Working with a generous portfolio of national and international clients, his work has already been awarded an honorable mention by Architizer A + Awards, being one of twenty photographers selected from all over the world to be present in the 15th International Exhibition of Architecture – La Biennale di Venezia 2016. He is mainly asked to photograph projects, in general remarkable ones, conceived

by the most recognized portuguese studios, having his work frequently published in the most proeminent architecture and photography magazines, in and outside his country. Ricardo Oliveira Alves was born in Lisbon, a well known city by its inspiring light, imagery and cinematographic routes. An unavoidable origin especially to whom deals with creativity and image. Along his way, Ricardo has crossed different areas of knowledge and interests, from architecture to music, from directing to producing, until he reached a more profound and complete dedication to architecture photography. His work reflects this same dialectics, with an immanent approach even in the simpler shots. A life in space made of natural light, no artifices, nor cosmetic interventions. Archilapse – Architecture vs cinematographic process. Light phenomena, a simple but so important element in our existence, motivated Ricardo to throw an imaginary net and dive in the time of spaces. Through Timelapse, a visual technique, he did an approach to architecture with a surprising outcome. This experience is based on doing a sequential register of an architectonic space and, by accelerating time, we can see how time and light change the space, how it comes to life and absolutely goes beyond its four walls and our five senses. “The way natural light is transforming as time goes by, is a fascinating mistery” he says.

Even when we feel alone, we're interconnected with all life. In nature, every element plays a vital role, reminding us of our shared existence. Emotionally, universal experiences like joy and pain bind us together across time and space. Spiritually, many believe in a unifying divine presence within us all, connecting us to something greater. This awareness assures us that even in solitude, we're part of the infinite fabric of existence.

Sacred geometry is the study of geometric forms and patterns that hold spiritual significance across various cultures and traditions. It encompasses shapes such as the circle, triangle, square, pentagon, and more complex forms like the Flower of Life or the Sri Yantra. These geometric patterns are believed to embody fundamental principles of creation, harmony, and divine order.

When connecting sacred geometry with sound and the concept of God or the divine, we can explore the idea that sound itself is a fundamental aspect of creation. In many religious and spiritual traditions, sound is considered a primal force through which the universe was brought into existence. This notion is often expressed through concepts such as the "Word" or "Logos" in Christianity, the "Om" in Hinduism, or the "Primordial Sound" in various esoteric philosophies.

In sacred geometry, certain geometric forms are associated with specific frequencies or vibrations. For instance, the concept of cymatics demonstrates how sound vibrations can create geometric patterns in matter, revealing a direct relationship between sound and form. Additionally, sacred chants, mantras, or hymns are believed to resonate with these geometric patterns, aligning the individual with higher spiritual frequencies and facilitating spiritual growth or enlightenment.

Sacred geometry, sound, and the concept of God or the divine are interconnected through the idea that sound is a creative force that can manifest geometric patterns and harmonious structures in the fabric of reality. By exploring the relationship between sound vibrations and geometric forms, individuals seek to attune themselves to the underlying order of the universe and experience a deeper connection with the divine.

Photographing MAAT is like immersing yourself in a sensory journey. The fluid shapes and interconnected spaces invite us to explore and interact, while the natural light and panoramic views create a unique atmosphere.

It's an experience that defies traditional museum expectations, offering a stimulating and inspiring environment where art, architecture and technology merge harmoniously.
