Documenting the art of surfboard craftsmanship with Miguel .shapes |

I met Miguel through our common friend and got immediately excited about his surfboard-designs. So I decided to get the perfect new board - I had been searching for unsuccessfully - custom made by Miguel.

This provided the perfect opportunity to document the art of surfboard shaping which I wanted to do since quite some time and I think Miguel was the perfect match in terms of his appearance and my style of photography.

Love those pictures and love my new surfboard. It’s a wrap 💥

Met those two guys .brdt who travel in a selfcustomized Land Rover with a popup roof. From Norway all the way down the coastline to Portugal and soon to Morocco. Rad!

Good to meet (again) and

3 years ago in Lanzarote, I met Felix who runs a surf school over there and I bought my surfboard from him.

On my current trip I randomly met him during a surf session in central west Portugal.

We went to travel and chase some waves together for some time and those photos of him and his fellow surf photographer Andrew I randomly took while we waited to be seated at a restaurant in Peniche.
