Many people come to the ocean seeking healing 💙 for the heart, the soul, or even the body. There is something about nature’s beauty that has the power to quiet the mind, open the heart, and make us feel deeply reconnected.

This humpback whale was incredibly social with us. Curious and at ease, she slowly came closer, swimming around us, observing us, and eventually started to play at the surface.

We named her Luna because of the small white spots and scars around her eyes 🌔🐋 (Louise and I)

These encounters can’t really be explained. They are simply meant to be felt, remembered, and carried with us long after we leave the ocean.
How privileged we are to share moments like these. ✨

The luck we have when they are as curious to see us as we are to see them.

Whales have a way of making us feel small, not insignificant, but humble. Their presence and their eye contact awaken something in us: a deeper understanding of how connected we are to the natural world, and how much we depend on it.

We need nature far more than nature needs us.

And perhaps that is why encounters like these feel so powerful.. they remind us of what is worth protecting, and why responsible whale watching can be so important

We are not separate from nature, just disconnected from it.

Bodies of water, shaped differently, thriving in connection
yet turning into takers when we feel apart, reshaping life to fit our comfort.

Orcas live in societies, pass down knowledge, carry cultures we will never fully grasp, and still we don’t understand the depths of our own consciousness. 🧠💫

So how can we measure theirs?

They came close, curious, aware and I couldn’t explain it.

Maybe that’s the discomfort: not the mystery of them, but the limits of us.

Because if walking in another’s path reveals the unknown,
then the greatest illusion we carry is that we were ever separate at all. ♾️
