I was meant to shoot Marta & Matt’s engagement session last year alongside my dear Rosado Shoot Stories | Wedding Photography & Videography, but the rain had other plans for us.
They came back to Portugal this March, and we finally got to meet them at Praia da Adraga and take these photos.
Now, after almost two years of planning, their wedding week is finally here. Tomorrow, the welcome dinner. Tuesday, the big celebration at Quinta da Bichinha.
No matter what the weather has in store for us, I’m sure their day will be nothing short of amazing! Can’t wait! ❤️

Engagement session at Samoqueira Beach, Porto Covo, on the Alentejo coast.
I often say that engagement sessions are about so much more than beautiful photos.
Most of my couples have never been professionally photographed before. They tell me they’re nervous, that they don’t know how to pose or that they’re afraid they’ll look awkward in front of the camera.
That’s why I’ll always recommend having one before the wedding day.
It doesn’t take long for them to realise they don’t need to know how to pose. They just need to be themselves.
When I deliver the gallery, they see themselves laughing, hugging, running through the waves and looking completely natural. And suddenly, the fear of being in front of a camera disappears.
On the wedding day, they are no longer thinking about how they look or whether they’re doing something “right”. They can simply be present and enjoy every moment.
That’s exactly what happened with Patrícia and Luís during their evening at Samoqueira Beach in Porto Covo. We climbed over rocks, got our feet wet and laughed a lot.
By the end of the session, they’ve forgotten about the camera. And that’s exactly how I want them to feel tomorrow on their wedding day!
I can’t wait! ❤️

Another Saturday, another wedding in my beloved Alentejo. 🌾❤️
This time, we headed to Almodôvar to document Adriana and Pedro’s beautiful wedding day.
I always tell my couples that the highest adrenaline rush comes just before the ceremony begins. But the moment your eyes meet, everything changes and the nerves give way to relief, joy, excitement, and the feeling that you’re finally getting married!
Pedro took that quite literally. 😅 He welcomed Adriana with a flood of happy tears that had her laughing all the way down the aisle. It was one of those moments you could never script, and exactly the kind of emotion I never get tired of documenting. 🥹
The rest of the day didn’t disappoint: big hugs, lots of toasts, a proper Portuguese party, and, of course, the most beautiful sunset. After a cloudy day, the Alentejo still surprised us with the most incredible golden light, just like it always does. What a joy! ❤️

Ana and Rîcards chose to celebrate their love at Monte do Outeiro Alto, in the heart of the Alentejo, surrounded by the people who matter most. Because some weddings don’t need grand venues to feel extraordinary.
Their ceremony took place as the sun began to set and was led by Fernanda dos Reis from White Events. More than their celebrant, Fernanda is also a dear friend who knows their story by heart. Every word felt personal, making it impossible for anyone to hold back their tears, including Fernanda herself.
We ended the day with a few natural portraits under the warm Alentejo sunset, with the kind of light that reminds me, every single time, why I love calling this place home.
Because the Alentejo never disappoints. ❤️

Something I love about Alentejo engagement sessions is that there is no script to follow and no pressure. Just the couple taking a little pause before one of the biggest days of their lives, forgetting about the camera and simply enjoying each other.
We spent the evening wandering through Pedro’s family land, surrounded by cork oaks, wildflowers and the kind of light only Alentejo seems to know how to create. Places become even more meaningful when they’re already part of the story.
Adriana & Pedro, thank you for trusting me with this chapter too. I’ll see you tomorrow, for the beginning of a another beautiful new chapter in your lives. ❤️

Cindy and Fenoh are coming from Switzerland to get married under the Algarve sun.
Back in February, they came to Portugal to visit the venue where they’ll be getting married, and I invited them to come to my Alentejo for their engagement session.
So we had a little bit of Alentejo before the Algarve, a quiet afternoon before the big celebration.
Tomorrow we celebrate by the sea, at .
They’ll be with their family. And, funnily enough, so will I. Because that’s the beauty of working with friends.
Can’t wait for this one! ❤️

Catarina & Diogo, drunk in love. 🍹🧡
There were vows inspired by José Pinhal, happy tears, beers before the ceremony, Aperol Spritz right after, and a dance floor that did not disappoint.
This day felt like a true mirror of who they are: relaxed, full of joy, a little chaotic in the best way, and surrounded by all the people who love them.
From the first nerves to the dance floor, I got to document it all. And I loved every bit of it. 🧡

Catarina and Diogo are getting married tomorrow.
Last summer, I took them to a place not far from where I live, in Beja, Alentejo. It’s one of those places I always love going back to because here, in the Alentejo, the landscape never seems to run out. And as I imagined, they fit right into it.
Back then, the wedding day still felt far away. And after all the excitement we’ve shared along the way, it is finally happening tomorrow.

Nia & João, one year later.
This one stayed with me a lot more than I expected.
Photographing another wedding photographer is already a lot. There’s the responsibility, but also the feeling of being chosen among so many talented colleagues.
Being chosen by someone you admire feels incredible… but it also comes with pressure. And when that person is also your friend, you feel everything even more.
But honestly, what got me the most was them. Their love is just… easy, calm, real, safe. So beautiful to witness. ❤️ Being there, so close to it, felt really special.
It also reminded me of the weight of what we do. The responsibility, but also the privilege of witnessing all of this and turning it into something that lasts.
They got married on April 25th. A day of freedom in Portugal.
And somehow, it all made sense. The feeling, the energy and even the red carnations adding that special touch of red throughout the day…
All weddings are special, but this will always be one of those days I won’t forget.
