After 10 years together, Jeremiah and Sam decided to seal their commitment through marriage and celebrate their honeymoon here in the beautiful Algarve. ✨

I can only imagine how much life they’ve experienced together over those 10 years: the challenges they’ve faced, the changes they’ve embraced, and all the moments that have shaped their love.

Marriage means something different to everyone. Some dream of it their whole lives, others approach it with fear, and some avoid commitment because they’re afraid of being left behind.

But the truth is, we can never have a guarantee of how long someone will stay, with or without a wedding ring.

It isn’t marriage itself that makes someone stay. It’s patience. It’s flexibility. It’s the willingness to grow together while allowing each other to grow individually. It’s choosing to love, even when life gets complicated.

And perhaps that’s what makes a love story like Jeremiah and Sam’s so beautiful: not simply the promise of forever, but the years of choosing each other that came before it.

May love continue to be the greatest force in the universe, reminding us that the most beautiful commitments are not just spoken on a wedding day, but lived every single day. ✨

We almost thought this photoshoot wasn’t going to happen that day. 🌦️

The forecast predicted rain, and the dress Tamires had chosen for her session wasn’t expected to arrive on time. But somehow, everything fell into place. The clouds cleared, the dress arrived, and we ended up creating the most beautiful memories together. ✨

Tamires was celebrating her 33rd birthday, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

She grew up in a coastal region of Brazil, yet going to the beach was never really her thing. And still, when it came to choosing the perfect place for her birthday photoshoot, she chose the beach here in the Algarve.

I couldn’t help but wonder if there was something meaningful about that choice.

Maybe it was about stepping outside her comfort zone. About embracing new experiences, welcoming new possibilities, and allowing herself to be surprised by what life has to offer.

A new year of life. A new chapter. And a little reminder that sometimes, the most beautiful things happen when we leave room for the unexpected. 🌊

Happy 33rd birthday, Tamires. May this new chapter bring you beautiful discoveries, open doors, and plenty of reasons to say yes to the new. ✨

Photographing Monarson and Aneres was a beautiful reminder of why I fell in love with photography. ✨

Travelling all the way from New Jersey to the Algarve to celebrate their wedding anniversary, they brought so much warmth, laughter, and joy into my life.

I believe photography, above all, is an exchange. An exchange of stories, experiences, and little pieces of ourselves that we leave with one another.

During our photography session in the Algarve, we talked about my year living in the United States, how life takes unexpected turns, and how our paths might never have crossed if I hadn’t moved to Portugal.

We also shared thoughts about the challenges of being an immigrant, the courage it takes to start over in a new country, and what it means to keep pursuing something you truly love, even when the journey feels uncertain.

For me, these moments are just as meaningful as the photographs themselves. Because sometimes, a photography session becomes so much more than capturing beautiful images. It becomes a meeting of worlds, a sharing of stories, and a reminder that life has its own way of bringing people together.

And as I continue building my life and photography business in the Algarve, I’m learning to trust this journey a little more, one story at a time. ✨

When we are building a family we don’t have an instruction manual. We received a flood of information from all sides about how to do it, tips, advices, but the path of parenthood is unique and individual. It is built to measure that you walk. Each family is unique, just as each story that this family will tell and keep will also be unique. 🌻✨

Seven years old. A whole little world already lived. ✨

Gabriel had this photo session to celebrate turning 7.

In numerology, the number 7 is often associated with completeness and wholeness in motion, like the seven days of the week and the seven colours of the rainbow. 🌈

But for me, there was something even more meaningful about this number.

At the beginning of the session, Gabriel was very shy. He didn’t really want to take photos, so instead of asking him to pose, I sat down with him and we had a little conversation.

I told him that one day, when he was older, he would look back at these photographs and realise how much time had passed.

He would notice how much he had changed.
How different his hair, his face looked.
That little necklace he thought was so cool.
How young his parents looked.
And all those tiny details that seem ordinary today, but will become precious memories one day.

And something changed.

He relaxed, started having fun, and little by little, we let the camera become part of the story.

Because that’s what photography is really about. It’s not just about beautiful pictures. It’s about preserving a version of ourselves that will never exist again.

The seven-year-old Gabriel will never be seven again. His parents will never look exactly like this again. This little chapter of their family story is happening only once.

And years from now, these photographs won’t just show what they looked like.

They’ll bring them back to how this moment felt. That, to me, is the true value of family photography. ✨ 🌻

Sometimes we think that empowering a woman has to be something forced, but no. It has to be something natural... it has to be something light.

When Saule decided to schedule this photo shoot with me, I wanted to do it right away because I connected with her story, because she also remembered my own story. All the issues that we women sometimes have with our self-esteem and self-image.

Doing this session reminded me of when I started photographing, where my focus was on photographing women so that they could feel empowered through photography. And after that session I felt that I should do this more, that I should reconnect with more women to make more women feel beautiful, free and seen.

The photos clearly show the evolution of the session... at first she was super shy.... And in the end we clearly have a Vogue model.

When I asked Marianna how long she had been with her love, she smiled and said:

“Four years… and it feels like time has gone by so fast.”

That sentence stayed with me.

Because maybe that’s what happens when we are with the people who make our hearts feel calm.

The ones who make ordinary days feel special.
The ones with whom silence feels comfortable.
The ones who feel like home, even when you’re far from home.

Four years can sound like a long time. But when you look back at the person who has shared all those little moments with you, sometimes it feels like it was only yesterday.

And perhaps that is why photographs matter so much.

Because time doesn’t slow down for us.

People grow. Relationships change. Life moves forward.

But photographs allow us to pause for just a moment and remember how it felt to love each other right there, in that exact chapter of your story. ✨

This is why I love couple photography in the Algarve. I’m not simply creating beautiful portraits. I’m documenting the connection, the little gestures and the stories that make each couple unique.

Because one day, four years will become ten.
And ten will become twenty.

And you’ll still have these photographs to remind you of where your story began. 🫶

Henri initially booked a photo session with me because he had a very special plan: a surprise proposal. 💍

But, as sometimes happens in the Algarve, the weather had other plans. The day before, the sun was shining beautifully. But on the day of the session, it suddenly rained, and we had to reschedule.

In the meantime, Henri ended up proposing on another occasion, and when we finally met at the beach, our session had a different purpose: simply to preserve this beautiful moment in their lives.

Or so I thought… 🥹

As soon as I arrived, I congratulated them on their engagement. Then they told me something else:

They weren’t only engaged.

They were going to be parents too. 💛

She was two months pregnant.

My eyes filled with tears and I felt this incredible shiver of happiness. There was so much love in front of me, and somehow this couple had chosen me to document not one, but two of the most meaningful chapters of their story.

Then they asked if we could make the session a mixture of couple and maternity photography. “Of course.”

And as I photographed them, I kept thinking about how beautiful it is when photography becomes more than just a collection of pretty images.

It becomes a way of remembering.

The way they looked at each other before becoming parents.
The excitement of a new beginning.
The love that was already there, quietly growing into something even bigger.

Every day I become more certain that I’m not here simply to photograph people.

I’m here to tell their love stories. ✨

And being trusted with moments like this is something money could never measure.
