Carolin & Lars’ photo session at Praia da Marinha was more than just a walk down to the ocean. 🌊

I had photographed at Marinha Beach a few times before, but this was the first time I went all the way down to the sea with my couple. And it became such a beautiful experience.

There was one photograph they specifically asked for: a moment inside the sea.

And somehow, that image became much more than a photograph.

The sea can represent so many things: our emotions, our depths, our vulnerabilities. But it can also represent a new beginning. A kind of baptism. A moment of letting go and stepping into something new. ✨

Looking back at this session, I feel that this image beautifully represents the moment they are living in their lives: a new chapter, a new beginning, and something worth remembering.

This is what I love about couple photography in the Algarve.
Not simply creating beautiful photographs, but creating images that hold a little piece of a story. 🌻

Photographing Laura and David was a surprise. I arrived at the photo shoot and came across a sweet girl in a pink dress and an affectionate boyfriend that didn’t take his eyes off her beloved. They were there to celebrate their anniversary and all they wanted was a light photo shoot, without poses and natural, that would take the burden off the pressure of everyday life and I think I managed to do that! Sometimes the routine weighs and all we need is to remind ourselves that the love we feel needs to be greater than any burden. ✨

What is the mystery behind love? 💛

Julie and Pedro live in France, but it was in Albufeira that they met two years ago and now they’re came back here to celebrate their love one more time. She is French, he is the son of Portuguese parents. There are magics that really only love to make happen.

When Elodie came to me to photograph her family, I didn’t know I was about to witness something so special. ✨

She told me she wanted to renew her wedding vows in a small, intimate ceremony: just her, her husband, their two little daughters, me, and the sea as their witness. I thought it was beautiful.

When I arrived, the girls were each holding a flower, while Elodie carried a simple bouquet of colorful blooms. Everything unfolded naturally, with the occasional little challenge brought by Olivia’s strong personality. It took a little extra patience, but nothing that a little love couldn’t solve.

And there, by the sea, I had the privilege of witnessing another beautiful love story written in the Algarve. 🌊🌸

Dudu is really a lucky baby, he doesn’t have just one mom, but two and with the same name: Ines & Ines.
You can see that he really has a family full of love. The photo shoot this time in an unusual place: a golf course in Lagos. The day was very windy, strong sun, but even so we managed to record the vacation of this family from the Lisbon region here in the Algarve.

Dudu didn’t stop smiling for a minute and for such a young baby he had a lot of patience to put up with a photo shoot hahahaha

Every time I photograph more I realize that photography is connection, it’s history. And there are so many stories and so many families to get to know. ✨🌻📸
