Advance notice!! Our 2nd workshop in our Traveling Photography Club series is next month.

You can join us for just this one workshop or join our club for added benefits (one-on-one consultations, discounted fees, and more) by emailing me at [email protected] with the word "CLUB" in the subject line.

This upcoming workshop is an interesting event - the annual Ethiopian Sigd celebration at the Haas Promenade (the Tayelet).

In and of itself, it is a fascinating cultural experience. In addition to a guided photography live lesson, we will cover how to photograph strangers comfortably.

And, it is a great opportunity to experience something unique, to learn and practice your photography skills, to expand on the creativity inside you, and meet like-minded nice people.

It is almost time to turn everything off before Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah. A longer post will follow, after Chag.

Some of you might have seen my cool new Traveling Photography Club flyers where I offer a series of photography workshops, in various locations all over Israel.

It is a great opportunity to improve your photography, learn how to use your camera better (smartphone or other), see new places, visit places you have been - yet capture high-quality images as you see that location through different eyes.

All workshops will be available to anyone (if we haven't reached the limit) at the regular price of 349 NIS. I listened to a SONY Alpha podcast by Tony Gale where Tony interviewed a fellow Sony photographer ( I listened to a few episodes this am, so I don't remember which photographer said this) - he basically said try to do everything in your photography so that your work never feels like work.

Photography is a deep passion with me. And, though it is also my "work," it rarely feels like work. Sure there are ups and downs; days with lots of pressure, days with too little pressure!, and all that normal stuff.

But I just love doing what I do.

That fulfillment that comes with making people happy, both DURING the shoot and then, of course, afterward when they receive their images.

Now, this maternity shoot had another large factor involved that made it extra special. The soon-to-be mom is an accomplished life coach (highly recommended) Raaya Ben David Zerobnick רעיה בן דוד זרובניק - שינוי מתחיל בצעד that I have known since she was born! - I coached her in baseball and our connections go far and wide.

What a beautiful life moment for me, that she and Noam Zerobnick took me to document this special time in their lives.

I am still, as most of us are, thinking every day, and many hours of the day, about the war. The pain. My boys and my friend's boys in Miluim. The hostages. Those who are working so hard to recover. And those who have paid the ultimate price, with their lives.

Of course, I am thankful for all the good, the smachot, the gifts. We need an end to all of this. Soon, is not soon enough.

Other than my family that brings me joy, working with people and creating art with their special moments, together, brings me joy, especially now.

The great thing about Megnificent עיצוב אירועים Meg Alexander and her family, is how they were willing, and even initiated unusual and fun photos, beyond what I suggested.

Mazal tov to them, just nachat for them and for all of Am Yisrael. And a special thank you to my lightman, driver, and partner in all, Yosef Kowalsky!

Having my work be my passion, is a great gift. Teaching my passion to others, who are also passionate about it is a taste of Paradise for me.

I have been teaching photography workshops for many years, both for organizations and schools, and privately with groups, families, and one-on-one.

I am excited to announce a special program I have worked hard to create!

The "Traveling Photography Club."

This is the first "season" of it. And, BE"H, we will expand it to many more places and activities, guest lecturers, and other surprises.

It is open to ANYONE who wants to learn, practice, and improve their photography; anyone who wants to go to different places and learn how to make great images in various situations and locations; and, you can join with a "regular camera" or your smartphone camera!

There are various options - have a look at the 2 pages of the flyer, and if you are interested send me an email with the word "Club," in the subject line and we will take it from there.

Part of my fulfillment as a photographer is capturing not only portraits of beautiful people but also real moments in time.

These frozen frames in time are stories that often express more than words can express.

I feel this way whether I am photographing an event, a family portrait session, street photography, or even landscapes for fine art images - STORIES. By sharing and appreciating them, we live life to the fullest and we appreciate those moments that life is made up of.

It was important to me, even years before I became a professional photographer, to reserve a photographer who could do that when my children had landmark events.

And, it is why I was drawn to this craft; and why I think I will never stop photographing. BE"H.
