The ones who held you when you cried, hyped you up when you doubted yourself, and showed up today in matching dresses without a single complaint.
That's a different kind of love.

Bridesmaids don't just stand beside you on your wedding day. They carry pieces of your story that no one else holds. The 2am calls. The bad dates. The moment you said "I think he's the one" and they believed you before you fully did.

Today, they watched you become a wife. And they'll keep showing up for every chapter after this one too.

To the women who love fiercely and quietly and completely: you are irreplaceable.

Some weddings stay with you.

Adriana and Miguelangel met at a student retreat in Santo Domingo. What started as a week of shared conversations turned into twelve visits across a year, and eventually a sunset proposal on a dolphin boat in St. Augustine. When they finally said their vows, they did it on a rooftop in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, the town where Miguelangel grew up, surrounded by 110 people who love them from across the Americas.

The day had everything. Sage bridesmaid gowns and sunflower bouquets rooted in a memory from a Florida field. Bridal portraits at the historic Museo y Casa Portela, a colonial gem most people walk right past. A grandmother who cooked pernil the morning of the wedding and brought it for the reception. And yes, it rained. Nobody cared.
The full story is on the blog now. If you're planning a wedding in Puerto Rico or just appreciate a love story told well, this one is worth reading.

We signed up for a 5K trail run thinking "how hard could it be."

Reader, it was 7K.

But then the sun started coming up over the mountains and honestly we forgot all about our legs. First race, first finish line, certified overachievers before 8 AM. 🏆

🏔️ Montañero Trail Run, Colombia

Two reasons to stay outside until dark last night.

The sunset over La Florida showed up with the creamiest colors I've seen in a while. Warm, soft, the kind of light that makes you forget you have anywhere to be. Then, just when I thought it was over, a crescent moon started setting on the other side of the sky. Double magic.

It was the perfect way to get ready for the Montañero 5K this morning in Risaralda. Something about witnessing a sky like that makes you want to run well.

What's the last sunset that made you stop everything?

Up at 5AM. On the trail by 6:30. Three hours of climbing through cloud forest in Cocora Valley.

No cable cars. No shortcuts. Just boots, mud, and whatever was left in my legs.
And the view at the top?

Clouds. Nothing but clouds. 😅

Honestly? Still one of the best hikes I've done in Colombia. There's something about earning a summit that hits different, even when the mountain decides to hide the reward.

Cerro Morrogacho doesn't hand you anything. And that's exactly why you should do it.
📍 Valle de Cocora, Colombia
⛰️ 3,450 meters above sea level
⏱️ 3+ hours up / 2 hours down
🕡 Start early. Trust me.

Throwback to last spring at Rawlins Park: Peak magnolia season in DC.

The political air in the city feels different these days. But the trees? They don't know that. They just bloom.

Every year, right around this time, DC reminds you that some things are bigger than the moment. The seasons keep turning. The blossoms keep coming back.

Can't wait to see what this year brings. 🌸
