Before you ever see a leatherback…you see this. Huge tracks left by the mama!
Those tracks are from a 800–1,000 lb turtle pulling herself out of the ocean to nest.
🐢 Wide, deep center drag = body weight
🐢 Symmetrical flipper marks = strong, active female
This is how patrol starts. Not with the turtle… with the signs.
