Visit us at https://www.puertoricophotography.com I stumbled into photography back in 1984 when I bought a Canon AE-1 Program just days before leaving for a 44-day trip to Spain and Italy. Needless to say most of my shots were mediocre at best. However, I learned several lessons then and there. First, I learned that I had an “eye” for photography. That’s important because it’s the only thing photo

graphers are born with... either you have it or you don’t. Second, I learned to “learn” from my mistakes. You can’t just say “oh well, it didn’t work” and move on. You have to try and try until you discover why. I also learned that the camera doesn’t make the photographer; experience does. The opposite would be like saying that anyone with a piano can play like Horowitz. And finally, I learned to never bring unfamiliar equipment on an important shoot. The time to familiarize yourself with new gear is long before you use it. Since then my love for travel hasn’t diminished one bit and my love for photography has grown exponentially. I’ve shot wedding, portrait, industrial, real estate, still life, travel and landscape photography and the one that satisfies me the most is the later. There’s nothing like standing before the grandeur of nature and capturing it in all of its splendor. Many of you might know me from my Picadillo blog (http://www.picadilloblog.com) or from my podcast Hablando De Tecnología (http://www.hablandodetecnologia.com) or even from my Puerto Rico By GPS tourist page (http://www.puertoricobygps.com). Those sites have one thing in common: they have all been created for the benefit of others. This place is going to be different, because here I’m going to post what I like... what makes me happy... the images that bring joy to my heart. And if other people happen to like them, well that will be gravy.
