Every photograph is a combination of impression and information - explains Dominik Lewinski. The impression is built up by the light, the background, its colour and the scenery or lack thereof. The information about the product, on the other hand, comes from the way the object is presented, from which side, from which angle, how it is lit, how its features and functions are presented. It is almost impossible to fulfil all these tasks with a single photograph. The task becomes easier if we are able to create a series of photographs about the product which, when viewed in sequence, create a whole story about it. Such a photographic 'video' can in many situations be much better than a video as such. Especially when it comes to conveying accurate information about the product. In this project, the aim was only indirectly to present the beauty of the box and its contents. It was much more important to show the technique of making the edges at 90 degrees, the texture on the different surfaces, the embossing of the logo with glossy foil, the folding walls inside, the opening heart of the box hiding the glossy 'M' inside. More photos were taken, but in my opinion these four do the job perfectly. Elegant, minimalist, with attention to detail.
