We’re so excited and grateful to share that two of our photographs have been selected as winners in Junebug Weddings’ Best of the Best Destination Photos of 2026.

It is always hard to put into words what moments like this mean to us.

These images are not just only about dramatic landscapes or adventurous destinations. They are about trust. About couples who let us guide them through wild weather, rapidly changing light, quiet moments, letting us be (often) the only witnesses of their vows, but everything that makes an elopement feel real.

That trust is the heart of our work.

To have two photographs of only 50 recognized by Junebug means a lot. We are deeply thankful to our couples for letting us be part of such personal days, and for allowing us to create images that carry not only the beauty of a place, but the feeling of being there together.

Thank you to Junebug Weddings and the judges for this honor, and congratulations to all the incredible photographers selected this year.

We still cannot get over how moody and cinematic this Madeira elopement inspiration shoot was! Katia & Vitaly were so stylish, passionate, and we felt so much energy between them and how intentional and loving they were.

From feeling like being in a fairytale in the laurel misty forest of Fanal to dancing barefoot at the sunset at Praia de Seixal: does a better way to elope even exist?

Some elopements don’t just look beautiful — they feel like a heartbeat.
That’s exactly how this day unfolded.

Wrapped in layers of fog and silence, we began the day deep in the mystical Fanal Forest, where ancient trees stood still like quiet witnesses. That morning, the air was literally filled with magic. Katia & Vitaly both looked fantastic: he wore a vintage coat and hat, she moved like poetry in a stunning silk gown by …Every touch between them was gentle, even poetic in a good way.

Later, being happy and pretty much soaked with the mist and rain, we moved down from the clouds to Praia da Seixal. The dramatic black sand stretched beneath their feet as the Atlantic breathed in and out brining cold waves which created incredible reflection on the sand. The beauty of Praia do Seixal beach was multiplied by the fantastic view of the waterfalls falling down from the mountain behind. All this covered with the clowds. And with this incredible setting K&V danced, ran, kissed, wrapped up in each other — completely lost in their own rhythm.

And this is the way to elope in Madeira.

Where in the world will we be in 2026?

Next year is shaping up to be one of our most diverse travel seasons yet — a mix of epic landscapes, familiar places we love, and a few that were always on our bucket list 🔥

Here’s where you’ll find us in 2026:

April — Iceland & Azores (Portugal)
May — Iceland & Dolomites (Italy)
June — Iceland, Dolomites & Norway
July — Iceland, Lofoten (Norway) & Madeira
August — Iceland & Dolomites
September — Iceland, Dolomites & Madeira
October — Iceland, Dolomites & Madeira
November — Iceland, Canary Islands (Spain) & Madeira

We’re especially looking forward to another strong Iceland season, long alpine days in the Dolomites, and returning to Madeira’s cliffs and light later in the year. Lofoten in July is something we’re very excited about so much!

This year we’re doing things differently.

We’re limiting 2026 to only 20 elopements so we can stay fully present and creative for every couple we work with.

At this moment, only 5 spots remain.

Hello, friends! While we’re still in our cozy editing cave, doing our magic on the last stunning elopements of the 2025, we just couldn’t resist and decided to share the Dolomites elopement we recently delivered to J&J!

While a very long blogpost is informing in the nearest time, I wound write much about the day and just let the photos speak for themselves.

It was a day with probably the most ideal weather and light and together with J&J we took ALL of it: spent a fantastic sunrise with pink skies at Lago di Braies, got lost in the pine woods and of course witnessed the most stunning sunset and alpine afterglow among the Dolomites peaks. Is there any better way to elope in the Dolomites even exist?!

We poured our soul into these and how y’all love the result 🖤

The wait was more than worth it ✨
We’re so happy to share that this image was selected by as a winning photo in their 2025 Best of the Best Photo Collection — and this one’s especially special, as it’s Tony’s win this time and the second award for this very photo 🤍

For us, this also marks our 14th collective award with Junebug since 2018. We’ve been following and taking part in Junebug contests from the very beginning — not just for the results, but to keep growing, learning, and truly understanding the level of competition within our industry. We’ve browsed their collections for inspiration for years, so being included again — alongside such incredible artists from around the world — is a huge honour.

Massive thanks to the judges , and , congratulations to the other 49 winners, and endless gratitude to all our couples past and present for trusting us with their stories.

This wasn’t your average elopement — it was raw, wild, and honestly, totally unforgettable.

We hiked into the heart of Múlagljúfur Canyon in Iceland for a private Icelandic elopement ceremony surrounded by towering cliffs, waterfalls, and a silence that felt sacred. The wind was already howling, but it was just the beginning of this day’s adventure.

From there, we made our way to Stokksnes and Vestrahorn, hoping to catch a calm and bright sunset. Instead, we got blasted by 40-meter per second gusts of black sand flying through the air like something straight out of Dune movie universe. The waves were crashing, the sky was dramatic and and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

It was so beautifully messy, emotional, freezing, and gorgeous as hell. A day made for the brave and the wildly in love - exactly for Kelly & Peter! They seriously rocked their day!

We still can’t believe we’re writing this… but Tony has officially WON the “From Above” category at the 2025 IWPOTY Awards! 🏆✨ Still feels unreal to say it out loud!!!

This year’s IWPOTY had over 2,600 entries from 568 photographers across 61 countries, showcasing some of the most inspiring wedding and elopement work from around the world.

The winning image was made at an intimate Iceland elopement, captured with the help of our favourite flying companion. A moment of raw simplicity, real love, and one of the most unforgettable sunsets we’ve ever witnessed at Stokksnes black sand beach… turned into a photo we’ll never forget.

Huge gratitude to all the judges:   and to the incredible team at for celebrating photographers who pour their hearts, souls, and countless hours into their craft.

And most importantly — thank you to our couples, who trust us, run with us across black sand beaches, climb cliffs with us, laugh with us, cry with us, and let us tell the most epic stories of their love.

We’re honoured. Shocked. Grateful.
 And so, so excited to share more from this incredible elopement very soon. 🖤
