Diving at an older age.
In the past, only young or very young people used to dive.
And now?
The age limit for diving is moving, and older people are diving.
As long as your health is good, you can dive and take underwater photos.
And in the photo are several experienced divers aboard the Dewi Nusantara boat. Where? In Indonesia, of course: Raja Ampat.
It's worth adding that Raja Ampat North is also a very interesting diving area: and what's also really nice about it:
Not many tourists and divers, and a wonderful silence.

W przeszłości nurkowali tylko młodzi lub bardzo młodzi ludzie.
A teraz?
Granica wieku dla nurków się przesuwa i nurkują osoby starsze.
Jeśli tylko jesteś zdrowy, możesz nurkować i robić zdjęcia podwodne.
Na zdjęciu widać kilku doświadczonych nurków na pokładzie łodzi Dewi Nusantara. Gdzie? Oczywiście w Indonezji: Raja Ampat.
Warto dodać, że Raja Ampat Północ to również bardzo ciekawy rejon nurkowy: a co jeszcze jest w nim naprawdę fajne:
Niewielu turystów i nurków oraz cudowna cisza.

Na nasze obchody przyjechał z Olsztyna senior, instruktor nurkowania Janusz Dramiński, wieloletni prezes Klubu Płetwonurków “Koral”. Wraz z żoną Alicją, również nurkiem, w przeszłości brali udział z sukcesami w zawodach w podwodnej orientacji, tj. pływaniem pod wodą z busolą i licznikiem odległości. Obecnie zajmują się fotografowaniem cudów przyrody pod wodą. Dostaliśmy od nich wcześniej do naszej biblioteki albumy "Nasz podwodny świat", "Podwodna Indonezja i "Morze Czerwone".
Teraz, świeżutko z drukarni Janusz dowiózł nam
"Raja Ampat: Indonesia Underwater Paradise”. Bardzo dziękujemy.

"Underwater Trilogy."
We have published the third volume of our Underwater Trilogy: "Raja Ampat."
We took all the underwater photos ourselves:
Alicja macro lens
Janusz fisheye lens
The first volume:
"Our Underwater World," which is the entire world; we visited many wonderful diving and underwater photography locations.
The second volume:
"Underwater Indonesia," which is just one country, with magnificent coral reefs, one of the most beautiful in the world.
The third volume:
"Raja Ampat - Indonesia. Underwater Paradise" is a small part of Indonesia,
but it is so wonderful, stunning, and unique in the world.
We will definitely publish subsequent volumes because we always want to return on Raja Ampat and take even better underwater photos.

February 2026:
Raja Ampat: “Dancing with dolphins”
Our greetings from Raja Ampat, this underwater paradise, especially for underwater photographers.
It must be said, however, that this underwater world is often so beautiful that it's hard to know whether to observe or photograph.
It's worth noting that these days, almost everyone takes underwater photos. And they also shoot underwater videos.
The beauty of uw coral world of Raja Ampat is well-known, but the place where you can snorkel with dolphins is almost unknown.
We ended our 10 days of diving in Raja Ampat "dancing" with dolphins. So we could say: "Dancing with dolphins."
A reference to the title of the famous film: "Dances with Wolves"

Indonesia: Beauty of Raja Ampat: ( not only underwater )
Raja Ampat North: desert island, many of them here. And those footprints in the sand? Did Robinson Crusoe live on this island? Have you read this interesting book in your youth: Daniel Defoe: "The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe"?
What's interesting? Silence, which is increasingly difficult to find in our world.

Here's a fun fact: Poland, the city of Olsztyn, a lake,
a wooden booth: a miniature library with books you can borrow to read.
Big surprise: a friend called me and told me our album "Underwater Indonesia" was there.
I went, saw it: indeed, and someone even looked at our underwater photos in the album.
This seems like a good start to 2026: World Coral Day, World Ocean Day, World Coral Triangle Day: something we want to write a lot about.

Raja Ampat: You know this name from my posts. It's Indonesia, a region near West Papua.
My wife and I are passionate about underwater photography on coral reefs, especially in Indonesia.
I want to continue sharing my and my wife's underwater photos, especially from Raja Ampat.
These are the most magnificent coral reefs in the world: for example, 75% of the hard corals found worldwide can be found right here: in Raja Ampat.

Underwater Indonesia, West Papua, Raja Ampat,
Why am I writing about compositing underwater photography using a fisheye lens? Because it's probably the greatest pleasure for me in underwater photography. That moment, sometimes a long moment, before pressing the shutter button. Or maybe even passion?

Which photos do you like the most?
Always at the end of the dive, I try to spend the last few minutes at a low depth, because when there is a wave of foamed water hits the rock, then I admire this view and often look at these beautiful views instead of taking pictures.

I think it's very important to comment by me on the photos, explaining how they were taken. I'll try to add that in the text or in the comments. For now, here's a start.
P.S. Why Raja Ampat? Because it's an underwater coral paradise. Number One.

Pigmy Sea Horse: It's so small it's hard to spot in coral sea fun. That is why we often dive master: our underwater guide shows with a metal stick where it is.

Indonesia, West Papua, Raja Ampat South,
Composition. Fisheye lens.
Which shot do you like the most? Perhaps it seems to you that maybe the differences are not big, but under the water it took a few minutes because I was delighted with this view and I was wondering how to take a particular shot.
This could even be a series of posts on composing underwater photos using a fisheye lens. What do you think?

Raja Ampat is beautiful, but Raja Ampat South is more and more beautiful for uwphoto with fisheye lens.
