‏عجیب لوگ تھے وہ تتلیاں بناتے تھے
سمندروں کے لیے سیپیاں بناتے تھے

وہی بناتے تھے لوہے کو توڑ کر تالا
پھر اس کے بعد وہی چابیاں بناتے تھے

میرے قبیلے میں تعلیم کا رواج نہ تھا
مرے بزرگ مگر تختیاں بناتے تھے

فضول وقت میں وہ سارے شیشہ گر مل کر
سہاگنوں کے لیے چوڑیاں بناتے تھے

ہمارے گاؤں میں دو چار غیر مسلم درزی تھے
نمازیوں کے لیے ٹوپیاں بناتے تھے
