A local court in Islamabad has sentenced former SP Arif Hussain Shah to death in the murder case of Senate employee Hamza Khan.
According to details, Islamabad’s Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Mujoka announced the verdict, awarding the former police SP Arif Hussain Shah the death penalty along with a fine of 1 million rupees.
The court also sentenced co‑accused Sabir Shah and Saqlain to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of 2 million rupees on each.
Reports state that Arif Shah had kidnapped Hamza Khan and later murdered him. The victim’s body was recovered from the ancestral home of Arif Shah in Mansehra. The murder case had been registered at the Aabpara Police Station.
