It was the 27th of Ramadan in Lahore, and it had been raining.

There was already a certain sukoon in the air the kind Lahore carries so beautifully after rain. Families gathered close, little prayers being whispered, and moments unfolding without needing to be planned.

Because in the end, it all starts with family. The way two people love, embrace, and respect each other’s families says so much about the life they are about to build together.

And perhaps that is a kind of luxury far greater than anything else to begin a marriage surrounded by love, respect, family, and duas.

Some weddings are remembered for how beautiful they looked.
