There’s a specific kind of silence that only exists under starry skies. Last night, I and my teammate went for an outreach trip to Bortle 3-4 skies of Sarai Alamgir, Pakistan. The moment reminded us why we fell in love with the stars as a kid.

Spent the night looking up and feeling small in the best way possible. Moon setting behind mountains, shooting stars, milkyway mythology, and observational views, everything added an amazing sense of beauty and accomplishment to the experience. Truly a mesmerising experience.

Every time I look up and see the clouds drifting by the full moon, Clair de Lune begins to echo in my head. For a moment, it makes you weightless on the ground and floating in the thin air.
This shot is a capture of that silence. A soft violet hued dream where time stands still and the earth feels light.

The Super Blue (well, not really blue, but you get the idea 😬) Moon lightened up the sky tonight for few hours and then the enemies (heavy clouds) rolled in and started raining!
Well if its not raining in your area go outside and have a peek at this super non-blue moon.

Comet 62P/Tsuchinshan β˜„ imaged on the night of 10th of February from Bela, Balochistan, in Pakistan

πŸŒ™

The comet was captured at a magnitude of +10.1
However, thanks to the dark skies of Bela, I was able to photograph it using only a DSLR camera and a 50mm lens with only 7 mins exposure!

Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop & Lightroom.

Astronomers' first love β€” The Orion Nebula

Catalogued as Messier 42 or NGC 1976, is one of the brightest nebulae in the sky, and one of the nearest star-forming regions to Earth. It is rewarding in telescopes of every size, and is perhaps the most studied and photographed object in the sky. M42 is visible to the naked eye as a hazy patch surrounding Theta Orionis, the middle star in the Sword of Orion, just south of Orion's Belt.

25 mins exposure from Bortle 1 skies of Bela, Balochistan in Pakistan. Imaged through my custom 102mm f9.8 Refractor with Modified Canon 700D.

Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop & Lightroom.
