When horses meet the horse power.
Cholistan Rally 2026 was not just about speed. it was about endurance, passion, and the spirit of adventure that defines the heart of this land.
where the thrill of the truck race meets the grace of tent pe***ng, where the strength of kushti reflects the spirit of the land, and where the intensity of kabaddi brings communities together. These traditions transform the rally into a cultural festival, not just a sporting event. Toyota Pakistan Maryam Nawaz Sharif Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC)

The Kalash Valley, nestled in Pakistan's Hindu Kush mountains, comprises three remote valleys—Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir—inhabited by the Kalash people, a unique indigenous group known for their distinct polytheistic beliefs, vibrant festivals, and rich cultural heritage. Believed by some to descend from ancient Indo-Aryans or the followers of Alexander the Great, the Kalash have preserved their identity through the Kalasha language, traditional black robes with colorful embroidery, and seasonal festivals like Joshi, Uchau, and Chaumos, which involve music, dance, and animal sacrifices. Their animistic religion reveres nature and multiple deities, and their society is marked by notable gender autonomy and communal hospitality. Despite their cultural richness, the Kalash face threats from religious conversion, environmental pressures, and cultural assimilation, prompting efforts for preservation through tourism, education, and linguistic documentation. Their valleys offer not only stunning natural beauty but also a rare glimpse into a living ancient tradition.

The Kalash people are an indigenous community living in the remote valleys of Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir in Pakistan’s Chitral District. They are known for their distinct polytheistic religion, colorful traditional clothing, and rich cultural practices that date back thousands of years.
Unlike the majority of Pakistan’s population, the Kalash follow their own ancient belief system, worship multiple deities, and celebrate nature through music, dance, and seasonal festivals like Chilam Joshi, Uchau, and Choimus. Their vibrant dresses, beadwork, and handcrafted headpieces are symbolic of their identity.
The Kalasha speak their own language, Kalasha, which is part of the Dardic group of Indo-Aryan languages. Despite being a small community, they have preserved their traditions with pride and resilience in the face of modernization and outside influence.
The Kalash culture is considered a living museum of ancient traditions, making it one of Pakistan’s most unique and treasured cultural heritages.

Masjid Pak Vigah, is situated in Keeran Wala Syedan Sharif, a village on Mangowal Dinga Road. It was built on a site named Pak Weegha meaning a holy piece of land spread on an area of 80 marlas. Dr Farrak Hafeez, a saintly person and famous eye surgeon of Kadhar Sharif, a town near Kathiala Shaikhan in Mandi Baha ul Din, was the founder of this masjid who dreamed a beautiful mosque on its present site. To fulfill his dream he started the project. He visualized the mosque similar to the Moti Masjid, Delhi. He searched for the appropriate architect who have the traditional wisdom and turn his dream into reality. According to the present manager of the project also, disciple of Dr Farrukh, several discussions were held with Kamil Khan Mumtaz who prepared the layout plan but rest the work was carried out by the patron himself. Dr Farrukh believed that all wisdom come from Allah the Almighty if we ponder on His creations. This is the belief, which is mentioned in the Quran (Chapter 3:191). Dr. Farrukh started this project under his own supervision and with his own funding. The project is unique in many respects and entire credit goes to the patron. Firstly the project was entirely built with local white marble. Every inch of marble surface is decorated with vegetal motifs, calligraphy or geometrical interlace work. Dr. Farrukh visualized and drawn designs, wrote Quranic inscriptions on the marble surface and prepared all the design and construction details. All the important calligraphic styles were used to embellish the mosque such has Kufic, thuluth, Nusukh, Nastaliq etc.
