In the broad daylight of Sunday, January 21 at 1:30 PM, several gunmen knocked the door of Amir Altaf Shah, an elderly resident of Zulfiqar Abad Gilgit in his late 70s, and forced him to a car on gunpoint and took him away, according to the FIR.
(Note: I called SSP Gilgit, Ac Glt, Dig Gilgit for inquiring about the kidnapping but no one is responding. A/c to sources, the officials fully know about the kidnappers, the culprits are high profile)
The family and the neighbors have witnessed the event, but the gunmen forcefully pushed the man to the car and took him away.
24 hours have passed since Amir Altaf Shah has been kidnapped in broad daylight, the details of kidnappers are mentioned in the FIR, but authorities have failed to recover the elderly.
Protesting the kidnap of the elderly, neighbors and community members have blocked the Zulfiqar Abad Road and demand quick recovery of the elderly and demand safety and security of citizens of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Increase in such cases in Gilgit city, and failure to arrest the kidnappers is becoming a serious concern in the area. These events are also raising questions about the safety and security situation of the citizens of Gilgit-Baltistan, and the failure of authorities to take action against such crimes.

مورخہ 24 دسمبر 2023 دن 1 بجے کراچی میں المناک حادثہ رو نماء ہوا جس میں ششکٹ ہنزہ سے تعلق رکھنے والے دو نوجوانوں شاہان طارق ولد مالک شاہ ساکن ثشکٹ ہنزہ جوکہ پاکستان نیوی میں ملک کی دفاع کیلے اپنی خدمت سرانجام دے رہے تھے چھٹی سے واپسی کے دوران حادثہ رو نماء ہوا جس میں أصف خان ولد امین خان ساکن ہنزہ کا ایکسیڑنٹ ہوا تھا اور دونون مرحومین کو ٹرک نے کچل دیا تھا۔
