Beyond the breathtaking sea of clouds and mountain views of Mt. Pulag, one thing that truly caught my attention during the hike was the rich and abundant fauna living quietly along the trail.

From small creatures hidden in the mossy forest to the birds and insects thriving in the cold mountain air, every step reminded me that Mt. Pulag is not only a destination for hikers, but also a home for countless living creatures that deserve respect and protection.

Hoping that every visitor and local alike continues to care for these beautiful creations so future generations can still witness the life that makes this mountain even more special.

I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it. From Ranger Station to Camp 1, my feet were already hurting, my knees started complaining, and I was losing my breath in the cold 2:00 AM climb. Every step felt heavier than the last.

But there I was at the summit of Mt. Pulag, sitting quietly as the sun slowly rose. In that moment, I wasn’t just watching a sunrise—I was thinking about everything I’ve been through and realizing that sometimes, we’re stronger than we think.

From reaching the summit to stepping into the magical Mossy Forest of Mt. Pulag, the adventure felt like entering a different world.

After surviving the climb and proving to ourselves that we could make it to the top, my friends and I continued the journey with tired legs but full hearts. Surrounded by towering trees, cool air, and moss-covered paths, every step felt peaceful and rewarding.

The exhaustion slowly turned into laughter, stories, and moments we knew we’d remember long after the hike ended. Mt. Pulag didn’t just give us a summit to conquer—it gave us an experience worth keeping.

“We Made It.”

Standing at the summit of Mt. Pulag felt unreal. After the long hike, the cold winds, tired legs, and every step that tested us along the way, we finally made it together. Looking around with my friends beside me, seeing the endless view and feeling the air at the top, there was only one thing in my mind: I survived Mt. Pulag!

More than reaching the summit, it was the journey, the shared struggles, laughs, and moments of pushing through when our bodies wanted to quit. We started as hikers chasing one goal, and at the summit, we stood there proud, exhausted, and grateful for making it this far.

A huge thank you to Lakat ni Ja for organizing this unforgettable adventure, especially to Kuya Blu Mangalindan for guiding us and looking after us throughout the climb. We also want to extend our gratitude to the other coordinators and tour guides whose patience, support, and hard work helped us reach the summit safely.

This climb was more than reaching the top — it became a memory and experience we’ll always carry with us.

After the long hike and tired legs, finally seeing the sunrise at Mt. Pulag felt different. Feeling the fresh mountain air and the warmth of the sunlight slowly touching my skin made everything worth it. Standing there with my Par Ervin and the new friends we met along the journey, it felt nice knowing that strangers from different places shared the same goal and moment. No words, no rush—just us enjoying the view and taking in a sunrise that’s hard to forget.

“First Attempt, Endless Sky”

My first-ever attempt at astrophotography, and seeing the Milky Way through my own lens felt unreal. These photos carries more than just stars—it carries the experience behind it. My Par Ervin and I went out at around 11 PM (Benguet), in the middle of a cold night, with nothing but our cellphone flashlights guiding us in the dark, all for the chance to capture this moment. Looking at these shots now, I know there’s still a lot to improve and learn, and I can already see things I want to do better next time. But every first try starts somewhere, and this frame reminds me that growth happens one shot at a time. Looking forward to more nights under the stars and hopefully capturing an even better version soon.

May 16 - 17, 2026

The Mt. Pulag journey via Ambangeg Trail officially begins, with our coordinator and one of our tour guides, Kuya Blu Mangalindan, leading the way. Standing at the starting point, the excitement felt different—mixed with curiosity, anticipation, and thoughts of what experiences were waiting for us along the trail before reaching the summit. As joiners from different places, we all gathered here with one shared goal: to reach the summit of Mt. Pulag. Together with my roomies, we captured our “before” photo while smiles were still fresh and energy was still full, knowing that after this, the real challenge begins. Hoping for safe steps, good weather, strong legs, and that every one of us reaches the top together and creates memories worth every step of the climb.
