GRADE 10 DIVINIANS EMBARK ON SPIRITUAL JOURNEY AT DON BOSCO

LAWAAN, TALISAY CITY – As they prepare to conclude their four-year Junior High School journey, the Grade 10 students of Divino Amore Academy (DAA) held their solemn retreat at the Don Bosco Lawaan Retreat House. The spiritual formation was divided into two batches: the All-Boys session on March 13–14, followed by the All-Girls session on March 20–21.

The overnight retreat, facilitated by retreat master Kuya Ike Abastillas, served as a sacred space for the "Moving Up" candidates to reflect on their JHS life. Through his guidance in various sharing sessions and prayers, students looked back at four years of laughter, tears, and the unbreakable friendships formed within the Divinian walls.

Beyond nostalgia, the event focused on spiritual growth and self-discovery. The quiet atmosphere of Don Bosco allowed the students to meditate on their personal experiences—both good and bad—using them as stepping stones for the next chapter of their lives.

"This is our preparation for moving up," one student shared. "It’s a time to know ourselves deeper and offer everything back to God."
As they head toward graduation, these Grade 10 students carry with them not just academic lessons, but a strengthened spirit and a heart full of unforgettable memories.

Students Join EDSA Quiz Bowl at Divino Amore Academy

In the morning, the class advisers of Divino Amore Academy gave a detailed input about the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. They explained the important events, key personalities, and the significance of the peaceful uprising in Philippine history. The students listened attentively as they deepened their understanding of how the nation fought for freedom and democracy.

After hearing and digesting all the knowledge shared by their advisers, the students gathered at the school gymnasium for another meaningful activity. Led by the Araling Panlipunan (AP) teachers, a Quiz Bowl about the historic EDSA People Power Revolution was conducted.

The activity created excitement and healthy competition among the participants. More importantly, it showed that the students truly learned what happened during the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. Through this initiative, the school strengthened the learners’ awareness of Philippine history and highlighted the importance of unity, courage, and love for the country.
