You know those wedding photos you save because everything looks so beautiful? And then those other photos you immediately send to your friends because HAHAHA, you remember exactly what was happening? 😂

Bruce & Jophie’s wedding gave us both.

We loved photographing the details they had carefully thought through. The architecture, the gorgeous church, the flowers, the portraits, and the reception that looked beautiful from practically every angle.

But we had just as much fun photographing everyone around them.

Their entourage, the reactions during the ceremony, their guests enjoying themselves, and Bruce and Jophie right in the middle of the celebration.

And looking through the gallery, we think that’s what makes the whole thing so enjoyable to revisit.

You get the beautiful photographs you’ve always wanted. But you also get the faces, the personalities, the little things that happened in between, and all those moments that remind you how the day actually felt.

We always say we try to match our couples’ energy. Apparently, we took that a little too literally. HAHAHA.

One thing we really value is getting to know the people we photograph. After all, we’re spending a good part of their wedding day together.

We want our couples to feel comfortable around us. To know that we’ll guide them when they need it, give them space when they don’t, and understand the kind of celebration they want to have.

And in Shiena and Juvan’s case, that celebration somehow ended with us jumping into the pool with everyone.

Not saying we’ll be jumping into every pool, but we do take getting along with our couples pretty seriously.

What if your prenup felt more like a date you’d actually want to go on than a day spent posing for photos?

Kishia and Jolo wanted to be surrounded by nature for theirs. So there were open fields, horses, a little picnic on the grass, and plenty of beautiful scenery to work with.

What we love about this photo session is how it moves between the big, almost cinematic photographs and the smaller moments in between. One minute, they’re part of this enormous landscape. The next, they’re laughing, holding each other close, and looking completely at home together.

We think that’s what makes a prenup experience worth thinking about, too. Not just how you want your photographs to look, but how you’d actually like to spend the day together.

Who says you have to behave at your own wedding? 😂

Risstin and Earvin had the lovely church ceremony, the beautiful portraits, and all the moments you’d expect from a wedding.

But what we particularly enjoyed about their day was seeing everyone loosen up as the celebration went on.

From the emotional moments with their families to the laughter, the playful antics, and somehow, everyone ending up by the pool. Haha!

We think that’s what makes weddings so much fun to photograph. You get to see people at their most dressed up and, a few hours later, at their most comfortable.

And we love that Risstin and Earvin got to have both.

A wedding that looked beautiful, but more importantly, one they could actually enjoy.

Three years. That’s how long Ashley and Eric managed to keep their marriage a secret. Haha!

They had a civil wedding three years ago, just the two of them knowing they were already married.

But they also wanted a church wedding, and this time, with their families and friends around.

So they planned one. And as if keeping their marriage a secret for three years wasn’t enough, they decided to reveal everything during their growing-up photo presentation at the reception. Haha!

What we particularly love about their wedding is seeing them finally share this part of their lives with the people they love. The family first look, the ceremony, everyone being together, and all the little moments in between.

Three years married, and still so much to celebrate.

While you’re walking down the aisle, there’s an entire room having their own little moment too.

Those are the moments we want you to have forever.

Because years from now, you might not remember exactly what the aisle looked like.

UP Diliman on a rainy afternoon.

Once, this was simply the place where Shayne and Edzel went to class.
Where ordinary days happened. Where they were younger, figuring things out, not knowing what life would eventually look like.

And then, years later, they found themselves walking those same paths again.

Except this time, they were walking them together.

It rained hard that afternoon. Hard enough that we probably could’ve called it a day.

But they didn’t.

They ran through the grass. They laughed. They got soaked. They kept finding reasons to stay a little longer.

And somewhere between the rain and the laughter, this place became part of their story all over again.

Funny how a place can hold two versions of you.

The two people you were when you first walked these paths.

And the two people you became when you came back to walk them together.

Non-negotiable: dinner before 6PM.

Not because they were rushing the timeline.

It’s a family tradition. In Yel’s family, dinner before 6PM has always been the rule, so naturally, it made its way into their wedding day too.

But that wasn’t the only thing they wanted.

Have fun. Capture the day.

And you can feel that in the photos.

The people who showed up for them.
The getting ready.
The nerves before the ceremony.
The little moments with family.
The portraits.
The laughter.
The chaos on the dance floor.

Nothing felt like it needed to be perfectly orchestrated.

It just felt like Sam & Yel.

And maybe that’s what we love most about weddings.

Not when everything goes exactly according to plan, but when the day starts feeling so much like the people getting married that you couldn’t imagine it any other way.

A wedding that looked like them. Felt like them. And was, very importantly, dinner done by 6.

You can plan a wedding down to the smallest detail.

The flowers. The entrance. The table settings. The timeline. Who sits where. What happens at 7:15 PM.

And then the day actually arrives.

Suddenly your house is full of people. Your phone won't stop ringing. Your mom is crying. Someone is asking where the rings are. Your friends are making you laugh when you're trying to hold it together.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, it hits you:

Oh. I'm actually getting married.

That's the part we love.

Not because everything went according to plan, but because for a few hours, you get to forget the plan and actually be in your wedding.

We'll photograph the beautiful parts.

And we'll be paying attention when the day gets a little messy, funny, emotional, or completely unexpected too.
