THE MAKING OF THE 'COMMERKADA SERIES' 📽️✨

With the series' theme, "Social Media: A Divisive Tool or a Unifying Platform?", selected students from the second and fourth year BA Communication bagged the Golden Award during the 2nd Vlogging Competition for Communication Students last 2024, April 20th.

The vlog featured raw interviews from fish and vegetable vendors, farmers, garbage collectors, and students around Tacloban and Palo, Leyte. This concept manifests The COMMerkadas' mission to provide a platform for the marginalized and working sectors.

In 2025, the group received a Special Commendation Award in LNU's prestigious annual Dayaw Awards for the institution's 104th Founding Anniversary.

The said competition was part of the 25th Edukcircle International Convention on Media Communication which was held in Quezon City via Zoom.

THE MAKING OF PINONG PANGARAP (PURE AMBITION) DOCUMENTARY 📷✨

This documentary was filmed last August 2023 and won the Best Video Documentary Award in the International Poverty Conference (iPOVCON). It was then presented in the Eastern Visayas Research Conference titled "Kinaadman Han Sinirangan" spearheaded by the University of the Philippines - Tacloban.

In March the following year, it received a Special Commendation Award in LNU's prestigious Dayaw Awards. Two months after, Pinong Pangarap became one of the national shortlisted documentary entries in the Philippine Research Conference (PJRC) 2024 held at UP - Diliman, Quezon City, and placed sixth out of 15 finalists.

In October 2024, the documentary was presented in the Philippines Association of Communication Educators (PACE) Future Student Camp (PFSC) as part of the Communication and Media Studies Conference (CMSC) in Quezon City.

In the same month, Pinong Pangarap was officially selected in the First-Time Filmmakers Sessions by Lift-Off Global Network in London, United Kingdom, and was streamed globally on the Vimeo-On-Demand streaming platform in November.

Ngayon lang ako makapagpapasalamat dahil masyado tayong nabusy for the past months since the creation of the page (busy pa rin naman ngayon pero keri lang).
