EVAS HISTORY BOOK 2026:

11 years ago, Pope Francis courageously traveled to Leyte province, despite an approaching storm, to meet the communities affected by the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. To avoid worsening weather conditions, his flight from Manila's Villamor Air Base was rescheduled for an earlier departure. Upon his arrival at Tacloban Airport, he was warmly welcomed by thousands of people who stood steadfast in the rain to greet him. The historic journey was made aboard Philippine Airlines' Airbus A320, registered as RP-C8618, which carried the symbolic callsign Shepherd One.
